Role Description[]
And now without further to do...
We all know that Al Pacino is a great actor. He doesn't portray characters on film...he creates characters. Literally. Creates them. They exist in a dimension that most of us can't access. Only he is able to tap into them and bring them to life. However, they interact with each other. While you may think that they would all get along, you would be mistaken to do so. A collection of the biggest egos and most outlandish personalities ever put on celluloid, Al Pacino's characters have recently begun to jostle for control of Al Pacino's legacy.
GANGSTERS: Believe that Al Pacino should be remembered as a Gangster and a Gangster alone. WINCON - Gain a majority that can not be overcome. Have BTSC and a NightKill
- Michael Corleone - The Godfather - Vote Manip - can rearrange the order of any player's votes.
- Tony Montana - Scarface - block
- Benjamin 'Lefty' Ruggiero - Donnie Brasco - Role Spy
- Alphonse "Big Boy" Caprice - Dick Tracy - OTDG, inherits action of any dead Gangster. Chooses at any time after a Gangster has dies.
GOODIES: WINCON - kill all baddies and Indies
- Frank Slade - Scent of a Woman - Vote Manip - can add or subtract 1 to the total of all votes of a player.
- Lt. Vincent Hanna - Heat - Save - can not save same player twice unless all alive goodies have been saved.
- Carlito 'Charlie' Brigante - Carlito's Way - Block
- Sonny Wortzik - Dog Day Afternoon - redirect
- Ricky Roma - Glengarry Glen Ross - Dice Roll (1.Spy 2. Save 3. Block 4. RID Kill 5. Kill 6. Reroll {odd = none, even = choice})
- Tony D'Amato - Any Given Sunday - Motivator - select a role and a target. Will appear as if role acted twice. Only works if role is alive. Can not Motivate same role twice unless all live roles have been motivated.
- Lowell Bergman - The Insider - sends a message to any player via pm through the host
- Dr. Jack Kevorkian - You Don't Know Jack - Kill - obviously
- Frank Serpico - Serpico - Role Spy*
- Frank Keller - Sea of Love - Follow Spy*
- the Goodie spies will get the results of the other spy's action and not their own so long as the other spy was alive when the night started. Otherwise, they will get their own result.
INDY: WINCON - be the last one standing or be the last one of three standing with Tony Montana and/or Jack Kevorkian also standing. In that case TM or JK will win with the Indy (but not as an Indy).
John Milton - The Devil's Advocate -
1) each night chooses between a)RID Kill or b)modified spy. Selects 2 players, alive or dead but not self and not lynched. Will receive the role of a random player of the two.
2) RID Successor - each night may choose a RID. Target must be a Goodie. If the RID is correct, then upon Milton's death the RID'd player will take his place. Only one correct RID is allowed at a time. If the RID'd player dies, then Milton may choose again the next night. The successor only gains ability 1 (ie can not choose a successor themselves). If that player wins then both John Miltons win. If lynched, will show up as John Milton. However, successor will also show up as John Milton.
Host's Summary[]
But for using the BTSC effectively, laying the groundwork for a win, sharing a brilliant plan with his successor and staying out of the fray (even feeding into the fray) the MVP of Al Pacino Mafia is Fat Tony
Winning Faction[]
- Miki - Ricky Roma
- Fat Tony - John Milton
MVP - FatTony
Day and Night Posts[]
Prologue |
---|
April 25, 2010. Al Pacino arrived home from celebrating his 70th birthday. As he removed his coat he looked around his den. He picked up his Academy Award that he won for portraying Lt. Colonel Frank Slade in the film Scent of a Woman, the only Oscar he won in his acclaimed career. He sat in his recliner, still holding his Oscar and realizing that he was nearing the end of his mortal existence. As he fell asleep he wondered how he would be remembered... Al Pacino wasn't the only one concerned with his legacy. At one point it seemed destined that he would be known as a Gangster. But Lt. Colonel Frank Slade was not a Gangster. In fact, Al Pacino has had as much success playing cops as he has playing bad guys. This did not sit well with perhaps his two most well known characters, Michael Corleone and Tony "Scarface" Montana. They devised a plan to control Al Pacino's legacy. They gathered two other Gangsters, Benjamin 'Lefty' Ruggiero and Alphonse "Big Boy" Caprice. "Look around everyone," started Scarface. "Say hello to the bad guys!!" The Gangsters discussed the plan. Al Pacino was getting older. He had created many characters, but his memory was failing him. The Gangsters would drive all of the other characters deep into the subconscious of Al Pacino, where the memory of them would be forever lost. Big Boy spoke up. "Wait a minute! Wait. I'm having a thought. Oh, yes. Oh, yes. I'm gonna have a thought. It's coming... It's gone. Oh yeah. I remember. You wanna kill everybody?" Michael calmly replied,"I don't feel I have to wipe everybody out, Big Boy. Just my enemies." "Ooh...but that just seems so....wrong." "Wrong or right, its right," interjected Lefty. "A wise guy's always right even when he's wrong, he's right." With a huge grin, Big Boy conceded. "You're right. When you're right, you're right and you are right." Meanwhile, John Milton was listening in to the entire conversation. "They always overlook me. Was there a more outlandish role than me? I will make sure that people think of me when they think of Al Pacino," he said to no one in particular. "Although I do like that Scarface character...and that Jack Kevorkian. Maybe I'll keep them around." |
Night 1 |
---|
Carlito Brigante had done his time. Time as a bad guy and time in prison. He was looking for a stable life now. Through his old connections to the criminal world he caught wind of the Gangsters plans. After alerting his peers he decided to take some matters into his own hands. He saw darth nox reading what looked like a script, a tear rolling down his cheek. "He must be reminiscing," Carlito thought to himself. Suddenly darth nox got up and started making his way past Carlito. Carlito just stood there in darth nox's way. "Um, Carlito, would you do me a favor and step aside, please?" darth nox asked politely. "Favor? Favor gonna kill you faster than a bullet," Carlito replied as he pulled out his gun. Before darth nox could say anything more, Carlito pistol whipped him, knocking him out for the night. Lefty was given a task. He rarely questioned his bosses. He knew how the chain of command worked. Even when it was a task he wasn't too fond of, he knew that he'd be less fond of the consequences for disobeying. So with that though in mind, he walked into the bar and took the empty stool next to an old friend. Before his friend could say hi, Lefty held up his hand. "You know we've been friends for a while now, right?" Lefty asked. "But I think you also know how I work." Marquessa looked confused. Lefty continued, "You've been sent for. When they send for you, you go in alive, you come out dead, and it's your best friend that does it." Lefty pulled out one of his two guns and shot Marquessa between the eyes. Solemnly, he paid for the drinks and walked out of the bar. Milton looked on in amusement. He figured that if everyone took each other out, his task would be easier. Someone he recognized walked past him. It gave him an idea. He took off to put his plan into motion. |
Day 1 |
---|
Al Pacino's characters gathered near the pit to the deep subconscious of Al Pacino. They were very close to entering a place from where they could not return. A place where they would be forgotten, forever. The characters decided that they needed to throw a Gangster into that abyss, to put an end to this internal war. There was a problem to that plan. Things were very hazy in this part of Al Pacino's mind and they could hardly tell each other apart. They decided that each character would list their top three suspects on a sheet of paper. They would tally the votes based on a scoring system. This was like how they voted for certain acting awards, after all. When the final votes were tallied, the characters were unified in their resolve. All but one. mboon pleaded, "Look at the votes! That one was tampered with. So was that one!!" Butt hey didn't listen. They all lifted mboon and carried her towards the pit. "Guys, wait. Give me some final words. Please." The characters were kind enough to allow it... Al Pacino walked over to his end table. On it, sat a football that he hadn't recalled seeing before. He picked it up and scratched his head. It was signed by Jamie Foxx and LL Cool J, among others. Al Pacino wondered where that ball came from... "...All comes down to today, and either, we heal as a team, or we're gonna crumble. Inch by inch, play by play. Until we're finished. We're in hell right now, gentlemen. Believe me. And, we can stay here, get the crap kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time. Now I can't do it for ya, I'm too old. I look around, I see these young faces and I think, I mean, I've made every wrong choice a middle-aged man can make..." Al Pacino's characters had heard enough. They lifted mboon and threw her into the pit. A whistle came flying off of her neck and landed at their feet. They looked down at the whistle and realized that Coach Tony D'Amato would be forgotten forever. |
Night 2 |
---|
Carlito Brigante looked around. Things had changed since he was in prison and he wasn't entirely comfortable with it. With a sigh he said to himself, "Mi barrio ya no existe." But he still had his instincts to go on. And he knew they could help him survive on the street more than familiarity. When he walked into that pool hall, his instincts kicked in. "I don't know what he's up to, but it can't be good," he thought to himself as he approached a player at a pool table. "Mind if I show you a trick shot?" he asked while reaching for Framm's pool stick. Framm was hesitant, but a playful nod from Carlito convinced him. As soon as he handed the cue over to Carlito, Carlito whacked him upside the head with the butt of it, knocking Framm out for the night. Lefty put on his coat and went outside. He saw his target and snuck up behind her. He hit her in the back of the head and threw her into the back seat of his Cadillac. He took her to the same place he took Marquessa the night before, deep into Al Pacino's subconscious. When he got there he propped Akriti up onto her knees along the edge of the pit. He slapped her a bit to bring her to. When Akriti awoke Lefty had a gun pressed against her forehead. "Hey Akriti. You know what I'm going to tell Al Pacino when he tries to remember your role?" he asked her. Without waiting for an answer, he fired a bullet. "Fuhgeddabouddit!!" Milton looked on in even more amusement. Once again, someone he recognized walked past him. He took off to continue his plan from the previous night. Ricky Roma had a personal motto. It carried over from his professional life, but he certainly felt like it applied in every aspect of his life. "You never open your mouth until you know what the shot is." Right now, he knew what the shot was. He saw darth nox on the street and put his arm around him. "Nox, you ever been interested in buying land?" he asked as he led darth nox into the bar. "Let me buy you a drink and I'll show you what I have." Ricky ordered himself a scotch on the rocks and a milk for darth nox. "You look over these pamphlets, while I go use the restroom real quick." he instructed. darth nox complied, if only for the free milk. When Ricky returned he found darth nox slumped over the bar. Ricky shot down his scotch with one hand while checking for a pulse with the other. Satisfied, he grabbed the nearly empty milk glass and walked out. No sense leaving any trace of the cyanide he slipped darth nox behind. |
Day 2 |
---|
Al Pacino's characters were being erased from his memory. They wanted to give whoever was responsible for it a taste of their own medicine. They gathered once again deep inside Al Pacino's subconscious, near the pit in which memories are lost forever. They once again listed their prime suspects on a sheet of paper. The options were many, but the choices were very few. In fact, it was clear that EDM was the leading suspect... Al Pacino opened a birthday card from another revered actor. In it was a picture of the two of them sharing a scene together in a movie. Al Pacino scratched his head. He didn't remember that scene from Righteous Kill, nor did he recall them being that young when they filmed the movie... As Al Pacino's characters led EDM to the pit, she did not appear noticeably angry. She explained her feelings. "I gotta hold on to my angst. I preserve it because I need it. It keeps me sharp, on the edge, where I gotta be." "What does that even mean?" someone asked. "Just know this," EDM continued, "When these guys walk out the door of whatever score they're gonna take next, they're gonna have the surprise of a lifetime." As she was pushed into the pit she made sure there was no doubts as to her identity. "Whatever plans you guys make for tonight, don't expect ol' Lt. Vincent Hanna to be around to save anyone's butt!" |
Night 3 |
---|
Carlito Brigante saw Slick sitting on a stoop. He had a notion that he could knock Slick out and leaving him lying on the stoop. If anyone was so inclined to finish Slick off, well then, that would just be a lucky coincidence. He grabbed a brick from the corner of the building and charged after Slick. "You think you're big time? You gonna die big time! You ready? HERE COMES THE PAIN!" Carlito yelled, mere moments before he hit Slick upside the head. Tony "Scarface" Montana had a similar idea regarding Vine. He walked up to her in his white suit. his shirt halfway unbuttoned. "Oh, goodness. What do you want?" Vine asked. "Me?" responded Scarface. "I want what's coming to me." "And what would that be?" questioned Vine. "The world, chica, and everything in it," Scarface answered. As he bopped on the head with his shoe, he continued, "and I gotta do this to get there, mang." Lefty approached his victim. He thought about all of the difficult jobs he'd done in the past. "Thirty years I'm busting my hump. What have I got? " he thought to himself. He was relieved to finally have an easy job. He strolled up to Vine and finished the job that Scarface started for him. |
Day 3 |
---|
The Al Pacino characters gathered once again. They had a liar amongst them and all signs pointed to Slick. They didn't bother to listen to his story. "Don't be blind," he pleaded. They didn't listen. They acted more deaf than blind. He pleaded louder. Finally...his voice was reluctantly heard. The Gangsters scrambled to fix the votes. But Lt. Colonel Frank Slade had an ace up his sleeve. Al Pacino sat watching a nature program. Some flamingos came on the screen. "Ah, look," he said to himself. " I like flamingos." When it was said and done, Al Pacino's characters marched towards Framm who stood his ground. "Go ahead! I take your bullets! You think you kill me with bullets? I take your bullets! Go ahead!" "Who said anything about bullets?" asked Slick as he pushed Tony "Scarface" Montana into the pit. |
Night 4 |
---|
Carlito Brigante weighed his options. There had been so much uncertainty over the past few days and nights. He wanted to make sure he chose correctly, after looking at all possibilities. He narrowed his moves down to a few, and then went with his instincts, one that had been honed through years on the streets and in prison. plasmid was stunned to see Carlito walking towards him. "I never thought you'd come for me." Carlito was disappointed. "When you can’t see the angles no more, you’re in trouble, baby. You’re in trouble." Carlito had his henchman, Pachanga, take plasmid and lead him towards the stairs that led to the back alley, where he and a couple of other cronies made sure plasmid wouldn't be doing anything for the rest of the night. Lefty could be seen talking to someone. He stood at the corner of the street. A voice came from around the building. "You know what to do when you find her, right Lefty?" Lefty was searching up and down both streets. He suddenly jolted. "Could be I found her already," he explained. He strolled up to the female who was approaching and reached into his huge fur coat. Before Aura could react, Lefty shot her in the throat. Milton decided he wanted to be a part of the fun. He looked through his little flip book. "So if my notes are correct, she should be right about...here." Using his devilish powers, he opened a chasm in Al Pacino's mind that led to the pit of his deep subconscious. When the chasm closed, Milton was pleased to see that Nana was nowhere to be found. |
Day 4 |
---|
Lefty went to the pit to dump the remains of his last two victims. He felt as if he were being followed. After he dumped the bodies of Vine and Aura, he turned to see the remaining Al Pacino characters, led by Slick. "Make this easy on yourself, plasmid," Slick pleaded. plasmid looked into his bag of tricks, just to make sure he had exhausted all of his options. "Very well," he said as he turned back towards the pit. Al Pacino watched a documentary about undercover FBI agent Joe Pistone. "I bet his story would make a great movie," he thought to himself.
|
Night 5 |
---|
BrandonB's head was still spinning from information overload. But he was determined to leave his mark on this game. GMaster also had some unfinished business. They each set out to complete their tasks. Two other people had different ideas. Ricky Roma approached his target. "Not tonight you don't," he exclaimed. His target was stunned "Wait. What are you doing? Everyone knows I'm a Goodie." Ricky explained, "I'm not sure about that, but either way it doesn't matter. I subscribe to the law of contrary public opinion... If everyone thinks one thing, then I say, bet the other way...". With that, he hit his target across the head with his briefcase. Milton decided to test his perceptive skills again. "OK. This should only work if that is him, right there...and my notes say it is." He opened a chasm again and to his delight his target disappeared and wound up in the pit of Al Pacino's deep subconscious. As the night ended, Brandonb came to in an alley, with a severe headache, but thankful to still be alive. |
Day 5 |
---|
Fat Tony saw everyone pointing fingers at him and talking about him. He approached the Al Pacino characters. "Gentlemen, this is not necessary. I gave my word." With that a chasm opened up and Fat Tony dropped into it, but not before exclaiming, "I may be the devil, but I'm no liar. As for my actions, freedom, baby... is never having to say you're sorry." |
Night 6 |
---|
Carlito was fed up of the nonsense, He wanted to make his point loud and clear. He strolled up to Slick pointed his right index finger at him and then poked him in the chest with it. "What do you think you're doing here?" he asked. Before Slick could give him an answer, Carlito hit him in the temple with the butt of his gun. As Slick was losing consciousness, Carlito instructed him, "If I ever, I mean if I ever see you here again, you die." |
Day 7 |
---|
BrandonB was flabbergasted, The evidence was right there, for all to see. But the other Al Pacino characters turned a deaf ear to logic. BrandonB was convinced that some were doing it intentionally. The others decided that BrandonB would be the next Al Pacino character to be erased from memory. Al Pacino put on the black leather jacket that he found in his closet. He hadn't seen it before. As he tried it on and looked at himself in the mirror, he decided the jacket would look even more cool on him if he grew a beard.. BrandonB could feel the lights going out. As he fell into the pit, he spoke out to no one in particular. "Sorry boys, all the stitches in the world can't sew me together again. Lay down... lay down. Gonna stretch me out in Fernandez funeral home on Hun and Ninth street. Always knew I'd make a stop there, but a lot later than a whole gang of people thought... Last of the Moh-Ricans... well maybe not the last. Gail's gonna be a good mom... New improved Carlito Brigante... Hope she uses the money to get out. No room in this city for big hearts like hers... Sorry baby, I tried the best I could, honest... Can't come with me on this trip, Loaf. Getting the shakes now, last call for drinks, bars closing down... Sun's out, where are we going for breakfast? Don't wanna go far. Rough night, tired baby... Tired... " |
Night 7 |
---|
With the realization of what just occurred, Slick was afraid to look away from the pit. Neither did Milton look away from the pit. He simply stated, "Time for you to go, Slade". A chasm opened, and Slick was gone. |

Hello plasmid, This is GMaster479 as Lowell messaging you. Use the following code to communicate your role and your action last night. Start your first post after the night post with the first letter of your role's FIRST name. If you are one of the Franks, start it with the first letter of your role's LAST NAME. Start the second sentence of that post with the first letter of the player you targeted. If you are a baddie I'm forcing you to make a claim now so good luck. If you are a goodie this will be very helpful so long as I am alive. Day 1 For the record, baddies rearranged Aura's votes to [mboon, edm, nox] and Slick added +1 to plasmid's votes. Also, if borda is used in the future I would suggest that +1 is not a sufficient vote mod. Maybe -3 to +3 or simply doubling or nullifying a vote.
