Christmas Mafia was a game designed and hosted by Limey based on popular Christmas related characters.

It began on December 17th, 2010 and ended in a Baddie win in D4 (December 29th, 2010).

Game Mechanics Edit

This was a small Mafia with 5 Goodies, 2 Baddies with a steal ability and 1 Indy. In addition, one goodie and one baddie were secretly placed in another BTSC by themselves.


  • Tie rules: In case of a tie no one gets lynched.
  • Frozen people can be voted for and lynched.
  • There is no limit on self-saves.

Role DescriptionEdit

Baddies: 1 group kill per night + BTSC
Wincon: Outnumber goodies and have all Indies dead.

  • Jack Frost: Can freeze 1 player each night. That player’s night action will fail and they will not be able to vote the next day.
  • Grinch: Is very mean. Can steal someone’s action once per night.

Goodies: No BTSC or group kill
Wincon: Have all baddies and Indies dead.

  • Santa Claus: Knows who’s naughty or nice. Can spy 1 player each night. Cannot die while Mrs. Claus is alive.
  • Mrs. Claus: Is a very nice person. Can save 1 person each night. Will save Santa if he is attacked.
  • Frosty the Snowman: Came back to life. Can RID save someone from a lynch each day.
  • Rudolph: Has a shiny red nose. Can see who a player visited each night.
  • Hermey the Elf: Can give someone a dentist appointment. This will cause someone to neglect their action.

Wincon: Have all baddies and Santa dead.

  • Abominable Snowman: Has a big impact. His vote counts as x2 each day.

Unsided: Roles who don’t do anything during the night. They still vote during the day. They will be randomly drawn to see which side one will be on and the other will be on. They have BTSC among themselves

Host's Summary Edit

Game Idea and Expectations

The game featured an exotic BTSC between two characters with opposite WinCons. The fact that the two elves' factions were not known to the public was meant to confuse the goodie spy and lead to WIFOM regarding each elf's faction. The game's Indy faction had very few chances to win, as he had only day abilities and no possibility to interfere with the night kill.


  • Night 1 - Phaze is randomly chosen to be killed and the baddies steal his block ability. Maurice is frozen and the goodie spy (GMaster479) discovers one of the baddies (Onetruth) while being followed by another goodie (Glycereine).
  • Day 1 - The Indy (Hirkala) and the Goodie spy voted for baddies, while most goodies bandwagon on another goodie, ending in Glyc being lynched. Had Glycereine and Hirkala believed GM was the spy, Onetruth would have been lynched instead.
  • Night 2 - Onetruth freezes herself, to avoid confrontation with GM which clearly held information on her. The baddies chose GM to be steal-block-killed, but he is saved as Mrs. Claus is still alive. Baddies prevent him from discovering the second baddie (Fox).
  • Day 2 - A lot of talking leads to the elves being outed and finishes in a 3-way tie between maurice, seahorse and GM. The Indy does not vote, further compromising his chances to win.
  • Night 3 - The baddies steal-kill Hirk figuring he is the inactive Indy vote manipulator and Onetruth draws a sketch-plan to out themselves and push for a goodie lynch with the help of the baddie elf. The goodie spy manages to spy the second baddie. The Indy is killed and Slick is frozen for the next day.
  • Day 3 - The baddies out themselves and ask for the baddie elf to support their vote. They announce vote majority with the Indy's ability. The goodie elf tries to create a smoke-cover by claiming to be bad but all is revealed once the baddie elf votes. The Goodie RID save lynch role manages to save the frozen Slick from being lynched.
  • Night 4 - The baddies steal-kill the Goodie RID-save-from-lynch role, and gain marginal majority after freezing Slick again (preventing his save as well).
  • Day 4 - The goodies concede as they have only 2 vs 3 voting power with Slick frozen.

Special commendations

  • Onetruth and Fox for covering their tracks and pushing for an open operation once they sensed they had vote majority.
  • GMaster479 for figuring out and spying both baddies.

Host disappointments

  • The main exotic feature - the two elves with BTSC but opposite WinCons - was not used. Only 2 posts were made in the Elf BTSC. No one came up with a strategy that used this feature.

Alternate endings

Alternate ending 1 - If the baddies had not stolen the Indy's vote manipulation ability, the game might have had a different ending. The public baddie outing in D3 was mainly caused by this ability. Also, had the baddie elf been inactive that day, the baddies would have lost the lynch, and probably the game. Alternate ending 2 - One important rule was unclear to players in D2: the fact that they can vote for frozen players. As the goodie spy had already spied the frozen baddie, D2 could have lead to a baddie being lynched, had the rule been stated in the OP.
