unreality |
---|
Unreality was in some ways a torch bearer of Mafia. He originally started Den Mafia by bringing a modified version of a mafia game onto Brainden. From there he developed a small but dedicated mafia community of extremely bright and talented players, and spawned the creation of the Games forum on Brainden where many Mafia Players of today found the game. During that time he hosted many different mafia games, including the first eight on BrainDen. He played in more games after, and even started the first offshoot of Mafia from BrainDen, Incognito, and was instrumental in the development of Mafiosphere. Unreality was always someone who was both a force to be reckoned with in any mafia game but also a good and helpful person outside of it. With this induction into the Hall of Fame, unreality can truly call himself the original Godfather. |
Brandonb |
---|
If there was one person from unreality's original games that truly took hold of the game, it had to be Brandonb. His Mafia play is the stuff of legends. He would've been MVP of many games back when he was on Brainden, MafiOSphere, and of course his time on MafiaManiac. He also set a new, high standard for hosting with his now famous UMM Series of Games. With pictures, long detailed posts with quotes, you would've thought that he was a script writer for Marvel movies. But much to many mafia player's dismay, he was in fact a lawyer which made proving he was a baddie even more difficult than usual. Brandonb is a wonderful player and host and was always someone who had every player's respect and attention. |
GMaster479 |
---|
GMaster479 discovered Mafia on the BrainDen Games Forum and helped rekindle interest in Mafia there once many of the original mafia players had left for Mafiosphere. Feeling the need for a new Mafia focused forum, he founded MafiaManiac and brought along many of the new players from BrainDen. GMaster479 hosted a large variety of successful Mafia games on both BrainDen and MafiaManiac, including his long running Halloween Mafia and Glitch Mafia series, and was a good mafia player in his own right. That said, he is more known for his tireless work as the admin of MafiaManiac and his work behind the scenes. He secured hosting and domain names, found more emojis, developed the Brando Awards and the Den Mafia Hall of Fame, and successfully managed MafiaManiac for 5 years as administrator before retiring. GMaster479's work for Mafia is the reason many players are here today. |

Nana7 |
---|
Nana7 enters the Hall of Fame as one of the most accomplished Mafiosas ever on all fronts. As a player, she was extremely successful winning over a dozen MVP awards at the time of her induction and the Brando for Best Mafia Player two years in a row.. She also got the nickname Indy Nana for her many successes as an Indy role in Mafia Games. As a host, Nana successfully ran many mafias including her well received SCMUA series. She also was a willing co-host for many new hosts who wanted to make sure their first mafia hosting gig was a success. Administratively, Nana rose the ranks from member to moderator of the now essential Wiki to eventually taking over Administrator duties from GMaster479 in 2015. She is responsible for a lot of the work on the wiki and for keeping the site going after GMaster479 retired. Nana's success on all fronts made her a wonderful addition to Mafia. |
Aura |
---|
Aura(myna) is one of the most feared Mafia players ever to play the game on MafiaManiac. Playing since 2011, Aura quickly became a big target for anyone not on her team and a valuable asset for whatever side she was in Mafia, especially when she was a Baddie or Indy. She was always extremely active both in mafia games and on MafiaManiac as a whole which led to her dozen MVP awards. She won Best Newbie in the first Brando awards and multiple Most Active Brands for her activity on the site. On top of all of that she is a very good mafia host and also was a moderator on MafiaManiac working many different roles on the site. Aura is still an active and well respected member of the site and her play alone on top of everything else earns her this spot in the Hall of Fame |
araver |
---|
One of the most calculating and logical players ever to play Mafia, araver's contributions to the game of Mafia are everywhere. He is most known as a player who is extremely invested in Mafia games both mentally and emotionally, never afraid to let his true feelings be shown whether in the ghost thread after games or right out in the open. He has multiple MVPs and always was someone to look out for in games especially when they were more complicated than your average Mafias. This ability to handle larger more complicated games came out especially in the hosting of his two Amber Mafias and helping GMaster479 host Glitch Mafia II, still the largest game on MM at this time. He was also the only ever co-admin of MafiaManiac and also wrote the code for the shoutbox list. While his relationships on the site have been rough at times, no one could doubt that araver is one of the best players in and biggest contributors to Mafia |
- Class of 2016
SparrowHawk |
---|
Sparrowhawk has succeeded in mafia everywhere he has ventured. Whether on the early games on BrainDen, Mafiosphere, or here on MafiaManiac, you knew what to expect when playing with sparrowhawk. A logical player who didn't take anyone's nonsense, sparrowhawk was a skilled Mafioso due to his innate ability to figure out the logic of a game quicker than anyone and use it to his advantage. sparrowhawk has 8 MVP's on MafiaManiac alone, though that number would be higher had we looked back at his long history of Mafia Games across the web. He also won the original Brando for Best Mafia Player when it was first awarded. He also hosted and popularized more complex and non-standard Mafia games, with his WarCraft III battle being a shining example that netted him another original Brando for Best Mafia Game. Sparrowhawk earned this spot due to his longevity, his skilled play, and his dedication to Mafia throughout the years |
Plasmid |
---|
"I'z still a goodie! I sware!" Plasmid had an unassuming nature when he came on the scene during Era 7 of MafiaManiac, but he quickly gained favor as a wonderful player, host, and all around solid mafioso. As a player, his 11 MVP bids stand out as well as his many nominations for Best Mafia Player in the Brandos over the years. Even more impressive though is the fact that the games he hosts are unique and wonderful. His Toy Soldiers and Lolcat mafias have always been phenomenally run and have been unique and worthwhile additions to the Mafias on the site. On top of all of that, his contributions to MafiaManiac did not go unnoticed either. He was awarded biggest non-mod contributor in 2015 and became a moderator of the site shortly after. Plasmid's all around consistency and dedication to Mafia has earned him a spot in the HoF. |
maurice |
---|
Maurice is a well known face to many Mafia players. He has always been a welcome face to new players on the site as well as one you feared if he wasn't on your side in a mafia game. Maurice, along with 2015 inductee araver, rose quickly through the ranks during Era 5 on MafiaManiac and BrainDen. He swept Best Mafia Player and Host in 2011 for the Brandos, a feat that has only been duplicated by coolkid. Add to that his 9 MVP's and his extremely successful Mafia Noir series of Mafia games, and you only touch on his importance to Mafia. Maurice's biggest contribution to the game was his work as a mod, focusing on guiding newer players to the site and helping them out. During his stints as a moderator, he would always try to focus on making sure that players stayed active and guided them in picking up on all of the nuances of the Mafia game on this site, and for that we will always be grateful. |
- Class of 2017
Phaze |
---|
"Perfecting Mafia suicide since August 2007". Phaze has had the summary of his game for a whole decade before his well-deserved induction into the Mafia Hall of Fame. Phaze has been a staple in Mafia games across Brainden and MafiaManiac for years, consistently prodding people and confusing even the most astute Mafia veterans. His style as a player is extremely creative and he always finds ways to get information out of people, even to the detriment of his and everyone else's mental and in-game health. His willingness to be a co-host to help people and sub for inactive players is admirable as well, but you can't talk about Phase without talking about Manfred. His toad posting of inactive Mafia players especially on the early days of MafiaManiac were essential to keeping the site full of active players who wanted to make the most out of Mafia games, much like himself. |
Boquise |
---|
Boquise's rise in Mafia was meteoric. In 4 short years he has amassed a reputation and resume worthy of any elite mafia player. With 10 MVP's on MafiaManiac, Boquise was prodigious from the beginning, winning the award for Best Newbie in 2013 and following it up with a Best Mafia Play award in 2015, with many other nominations in between. While he has only hosted a few games on MafiaManiac, Boquise's games emphasized quality over quantity as his style and consistency netted him back to back Best Mafia Host awards in 2015 and 2016. His high level of play, the amount of activity he has had, and the sheer amount of games in such a short time frame have earned him the respect and admiration of other Hall of Famers and members of the site. |
Coolkid |
---|
"I am but a simpleton". Coolkid was as humble as they come on the surface, but as his quotes in his signature showed, everyone knew he was to be feared. Coolkid's style in Mafia games was relentless. He would always ask questions, always question others, and usually get the answers he needed. This style earned him respect , a few eye rolls, but also 7 MVP's and two consecutive Best Mafia Player awards during 2014 and 2015. His hosting ability was also quality, winning Best Mafia Host in 2015 along with Boquise due to his help continuing Brandonb's legendary UMM series as well as his own Amalgamated Video Game Battle Mafias. Last but certainly not least, he represented MafiaManiac extremely well in the Mafia Championship on MafiaUniverse, winning MVP honors in both his first and final round games. Despite his recent inactivity, this simpleton earned a coveted spot as a member of the HoF. |

2015 Results
The votes were spread and a great many worthy nominees had at least a few votes. Only 3 managed to appear on 75% or more of the lists. Sparrowhawk again missed it by just one vote. Members with less than 75% but more than 50% were Sparrowhawk, Framm, Shadow, and Fat Tony. The three who made it this year appeared on nearly every list and were also in the top 4 of the borda vote (SH made the top 4 as well). And one member literally made every single list, 100%. That member was Aura. The top by borda vote count was Nana7. Our other inductee for 2015 is Araver.

2016 Results
Everyone received at least a few votes this year, and some came close to getting 75% or more of the votes but only 4 surpassed it, with one member getting every vote except their own. Since only 3 may be inducted each year, the borda vote determined it this year. Fourth place and a strong contender for next year's Hall of Fame...Phaze. Highest borda count was...SparrowHawk. Still a goodie Plasmid. Stil a gangster Maurice.

Congratulations to Boquise, Phaze, and Coolkid!
Boquise and Phaze tied for number 1 and it was neck and neck between the two of them the whole way. 3rd place was also a close contest. Hirkala, Framm, Yuli, Yuiop, and Jay are strong contenders for next year.
