Mafia V was a game designed and hosted by Frost.
It began on August 5th, 2008 and ended in a Goodie win in D4 (August 12, 2008).
Game Mechanics
This was a 20 players Mafia with 7 baddies (two factions and an Indy) and 13 Innocents.
Rules
Basic Overview: Baddies (and Ninja) strike at night, while the Innocents try to lynch them during the day by majority vote. All Mafia abilities must be PMed to me separately before the night is over. I won't wait for a decision on whether or not to use the ability. Same with the Bomb's lie-detect ability. RULES:
- Only play if you've read the rules, the roles, the strategy tips and previous Mafia games!!! You need to know what you're getting into. Nobody will be allowed to join late and nobody will be allowed to quit.
- No PMing behind the scenes!!!! Not only is this one of the stupidest things you could do in Mafia (you don't know who you're giving your role to and who is asking for your role, etc), even if you do know another person's role (or think you do) you can't PM them behind the scenes. The only people that are allowed to are the Mafia, and they can only do it at night and with the living Mafiosos. If a majority of Quarky Agents go after the same target one night, the QAs involved can also PM each other. BUT NOBODY ELSE! Also all Mafiosos and QAs should CC me in their PMs, just so I know what's going on faster and can move the game along faster
- each day in Mafia-time will finish 24 hours after the night post, and if you haven't voted/discussed/participated/etc during that time, you will be out of the game for inactivity. This time is set in stone and will be the end time no matter if everyone is done voting before this. Each night will end 18 hours after the day ends, however if I get all the necessary PMs in before the 18 hours, I will do the night post then. I'll probably extend night post estimates to when I'm awake and stuff (ie, I might say "night post in 20 hours" if I know I'll be awake and ready in 20 hours)
- please don't be rude ;D be nice and courteous and respectful
- after you die, you can post in the topic, but not about anything important- ie, you can't reveal your role, make arguments, take part in strategy discussions, etc. And you have to post in GRAY!
- Mafia is fun I will be choosing the final roster of 20 players, picking from the signer-uppers very carefully. I don't want to leave anyone out, but I don't want to have any inactives or sagekid-repeats (no offense sagekid ) either. If you weren't picked, it may be that we just don't have any room, and I won't be accepting any late-joiners either, it messes up the game (cough Mafia 1 cough Mafia III). So please keep that in mind, and also Mafia is a game of elimination, sort of... so don't be mad or sad if/when you die
- this rule may be unnecessary but you should never challenge the host ;D hehehehe
Role Description
Baddies (Mafia): Have BTSC WINCON: Be the last faction standing.
- Godfather: Any night, but not 2x in a row, may see the faction of 1 person (a faction is: mafia/innocent/QA/GR)
- Thief: Any night, but not 2x in a row, may steal from 1 person and assume their identity the next day, if the Spy investigates (even days) or if Inspector is getting the Thief's identity PMed the next day (odd days).
- Bankroller: Any night, but not 2x in a row, may send the host a message which will be posted in the night post, ie, a "message from the Mafia"
- Special Mafia Wipeout: If the Mafia are sure of the Inspector's identity, they can do a "wipeout" where they all come and kill the Inspector. Doctors/Healers/Sphinxes are ignored. However, if the Mafia were WRONG about the Inspector, all those people (or just the non-Inspector) gang up on the Mafia and it's a Mafia-wipeout, the other way around.
Quarky Agents: 3 Quarky Agents - do not know who each other are (at first). The QAs kill each night. Must have majority to kill. If they do reach this majority, those who were part of the majority meet each other and get to PM with each other at any time (day or night)
- WINCON: Kill the Yeti. If they fail, they are immediately notified and a secondary mission is given: lynch a specific person the next day (the person is chosen randomly by me and is not a QA). If the QAs fail the secondary mission, their aliases are discovered and they are mass-lynched along with the actual person being lynched.
- Master of Disguise - if the Bomb lie-detects a statement by or about the Master of Disguise, the MoD can decide what my reply will be
- Master of Espionage - can spy on one person every night. Gets told "innocent" or "baddie". Can be influenced by the Thief
- Master of Subterfuge - if the MoS is lynched while 1 or more living QAs are in communication with the MoS, the MoS escapes the lynching
Independent:
- Grim Reaper - kill every even-numbered night. Invincible for first night and first day
- WINCON: Kill the Ninja. If the Grim Reaper fails to kill the Ninja (ie, the Ninja dies some other way), the GR is removed from the game.
Innocents: win by killing all the baddies. Each Innocent has a special role
- Doctor - save one person each night. Not same person 2x in a row. Can save self only once
- Healer - same as Doctor, but different methods of medicine
- Illusionist - save one person every even-# night from the Grim Reaper only. If the GR dies before the Illusionist, the Illusionist becomes the Sphinx
- Yeti - every odd night, turns into a massive beast and protects one person. If baddie trying to kill the person can answer a riddle correctly, the sphinx steps aside. If baddie can't, all baddies in that faction die (or just the QAs that decided to kill the target that night). Baddies have the option of stepping down if the riddle is too hard, they only get 1 guess. The Yeti cannot be found/killed on odd nights
- Inspector - gets PMed, every day, a baddie identity in this order: Mafia, QA, Mafia, QA, Mafia, QA. The order is determined at the beginning of the game by me randomly, so dead people may be included.
- Spy - PMs me one player each day, I reveal their role
- Bomb - [knows Inspector & is known by Mafia] can use lie-detect ability any night, but not two nights in a row. If Bomb is lynched, 1 person that voted for him/her is blown up with the Bomb. If Bomb is killed at night, there is a 1/2 chance it will be a dud and a 1/2 chance it will take one of its attackers with it in a fiery explosion
- Defender - [knows who Ninja is] no special powers on their own. No matter when the Defender dies, his/her role is revealed
- Ninja - ancient warrior and nemesis of the Grim Reaper. While the Defender is alive, the Ninja cannot be killed at night, but the Ninja can be lynched any time. The Ninja kills for the Innocents on odd nights except the 1st night
- Janitor - the Janitor, after his/her many years of watching and learning, has adopted many vital skills. Each night, I roll a 6-sided dice to determine the action of the Janitor (saving, killing, guarding [1/2 kill attacker, 1/2 die for the charge], discovering specific role, impersonating, or free choice of the previous 5 if a 6 is rolled). The Janitor picks a person other than themself and then I tell them what the action is, to which they can either decline or carry out the action (or choose the action to carry out, if I rolled a 6)
- Inuit - the Inuit is an ice dweller and a longtime enemy of the Quarky Agents. The Inuit can freeze one person every day (if they PM before the day is up) and if that person is a Quarky Agent, they freeze in a block of ice the next day. The Inuit is a semi-independent character and wins by killing ALL THREE Quarky Agents in this manner. Otherwise, the Inuit wins with the Innocents
- Icon - with their Pengville celebrity they can PM, during the night, and ONCE ONLY EVER, the identity of one person. This person is immune to votes the next day. The Icon can PM their own identity. Also, if the Icon, being a town icon and all, is killed at night, there is a double lynching to avenge the Icon. If the Icon is lynched, nothing special happens
- Penguin - the Penguin is favored by the Host God Frost. The Penguin cannot be lynched and, on the 3rd day, can convert one more person to penguinism. The new Penguin, in addition to their previous role, cannot be lynched either. If either Penguin is lynched, they get out of the lynching via divine intervention
- Shaman - has two abilities, which can only be used once each. However there's a twist- once the Shaman uses both of his/her abilities, the Shaman dies. The abilities are:
- Scry - picks someone at night, and the person's status of Innocent or Baddie is revealed PUBLICALLY by the host in the night post
- Aurora - summoning the northern lights causing everyone that dies that night to be saved
Additional Roles: These are roles that are independent of your main role...
- Tiebreaker - randomly determined by me. If there is a lynching tie, and the Tiebreaker is on one of the tying sides, that side wins. If there is a tie but the Tiebreaker is NOT on one of the tying sides, someone has to switch to break the tie
- Masked Lovers - these tragic romantics don't know who the other Lover is, but if one of the Lovers is lynched, they recognize their Lover and the two die together. The Lovers, being tragic and all, consist of 1 Mafioso and 1 Innocent. Thus both Lovers are informed that they are a Lover, but not the identity of their fellow Lover

Mafia V Introduction:
It was an especially windy night over Awesomeville. The stars were out, and all were in bed, sleeping peacefully (Well, most of them, at least). As Zero took off from the silent town, he noticed the lights of the far off town of Quarky, which had somehow been rebuilt in only a month after being blown up by the Sphinx. Zero ignored them, as he had a mission to fulfill. He was carrying an especially important message with him, not unlike a certain pig from the city of Denbrain, only this time the message would reach its intended recipient. As he flew over the silent town, the various updrafts made his flight much easier. “Thank Frost,” he thought to himself, “I’ve got a long flight tonight.” As Zero flapped his wings, he rose into the night sky then shot off into the distance. A few days after Zero‘s flight, a large trading ship set off from Port Unreality, heading for the Arctic. It carried supplies, and hiding among the supplies were undercover QAs that had set out to invade new lands. Below deck in his/her private dining hall, filled with delicious food and drink, the Godfather laughed and shared a meal with his/her fellow mafiosos. They were tired of the struggle in Awesomeville and were headed for new lands as well. No one on board happened to notice the figure in the dark cloak that had just snuck on as the boat was leaving. It hid in the shadows, trying to avoid detection. Following a few days of sailing, the boat finally arrived in the small arctic town of Pengville, where all is cold. Just north of this town rose the mountain of Snowpeak, where the great Yetis of the Arctic stayed. It snowed often in Pengville, and it was not a very active town. Until now. “How can you stand this frigid town?” questioned the shivering Unreality, who was no longer the Host God. “Eh, you get used to it after a while,” answered the Host God Frost. The two friends were sitting in a café enjoying some piping hot coffee on the cold winter afternoon. “How’s life going for you as a mortal?” asked Frost. “Cold,” Unreality remarked. Just then, they heard a flapping of wings above. Frost looked up to see a penguin descending from the sky. “Ahhh…Zero, right on time. What’s the news?” The penguin leaned over and mumbled something in Frost’s ear. “What?!? The QAs are coming to Pengville?!? The Mafia and the Grim Reaper too?!? Seems this town won’t be peaceful much longer…Good work Zero, see you around.” Zero took off away from the café, just as a few snowflakes started to fall. “Well, looks like you’ve got your work cut out for you, Unreality. Good luck, you’ll need it.” Frost leaped into the air and took off with a penguin-shaped puff of smoke to the skies above Pengville. “All is not lost,” thought Frost, as the snow fell on the quiet town of Pengville. There were still good people in his town; hopefully they could stop the baddies. On one side of town, the Doctor was collecting his/her medical equipment, and on the other, the Healer was preparing his/her herbs. The Illusionist was practicing his/her abilities with the mighty Shaman, unknowing of the true power of the Yeti inside his/herself. The Inspector and Spy were nervous, unsure of who was good and bad, ironically, they were the only ones who really knew. The Bomb had just woken up after a restless night, checking to see if he/she had blown up in his/her sleep. Frost could see the Ninja practicing his/her skills, the Defender nearby looking out for him/her. The Penguin was pacing the streets of town, and the Inuit was preparing for the invasion of QAs that he/she knew was coming. The Icon was admiring the new statue of him/herself, which the Janitor happened to be cleaning at the moment. They were all innocent to the knowledge that Frost possessed. “I hope that they can survive through the next few days,” thought Frost, as snow started to pile up in the streets of Pengville. As Frost flew past the town hall, he pondered the situation. How sure was Frost that Unreality hadn’t joined up with one of the baddie groups? He might have been recruited by one, turning against his previous Host Godliness and using his powers for evil. “Only time will tell,” Frost contemplated, being joined by Zero, his penguin friend. “See you all in Mafia V!” he exclaimed as they rose into the sky, the town of Pengville diminishing in size as they flew off. |
Night 1 |

Rooftop Snow Rising
The snow had been falling for a few hours, freezing high in the sky and drifting down to the ground. It was a peaceful night, as usual, the air was still, unlike in Awesomeville the week before.
The steps of the mafia left footprints in the snow as they walked along the silent street. “Don’t you think that we should cover our tracks?” mentioned the Theif. “It won’t matter,” the bankroller responded, “no one walks the streets at night anyway. Besides, if the snow keeps rising, we won’t have too, they will be covered for us.” The mafiosos arrived at a building and entered, climbing the creaky steps to the roof. Once they arrived at the top, they heaved the door open through the piles of snow. As the rooftop snow kept rising, the Bankroller started to get set up on the edge of the building. The other side of town The Healer walked up to a quiet house, hoping that they would be able to help someone tonight. As he/she approached, he/she noticed the lights were on. He/she knocked on the door, yelling out “Hello! Anyone home?” After a minute, the door opened, to a surprised Healer. “You’re the doctor?” exclaimed the Healer. “Yep, looks like we got lucky. Now we can be more organized about who we save.” “But who did you save?” questioned the Healer. “Nobody, I decided to stay home tonight,” replied the Doctor. The Rooftop “You sure about this?” asked a mafioso. “Yes,” replied the Bankroller, “I think it was a good decision.” Across the street, a disgruntled GC opened up his apartment door. “I’m tired of all of this snow,” he thought to himself. “If only I lived in Awesomeville.” As he opened the fridge, looking for a snack, he noticed it. The red dot on his chest. “Oh S#IT!” he was about to say, but he was on the floor with a hole in his heart before he could utter the words. As the blood pooled around GC, the mafiosos disassembled from the rooftop, happy with their successful kill. BTW, did anyone catch the reference in the intro?
Oh, sorry about the QAs, I was rushed to finish the post. Add this to the night post: Earlier that night, the QAs had been plotting. Unfortunately they plotted wrong. One attempted an attack on Brandonb, which failed due to a triggered alarm. Across town, another QA went after Yoruichi, but was scared off from some loud noises coming from inside. Meanwhile, another went for dawh, only to realize that he/she had forgotten to bring a weapon for kill. They all went home, hoping that tomorrow night they would meet up with each other. |
Day 1 |
---|
Frost sat back and relaxed in his recliner. He reached for more popcorn, but he was out after eating a lot watching the town’s actions. “Wow. That was an awesome movie.” He had just finished watching The Dark Knight, and after two and a half hours of awesomeness, he looked at the time. “Oh, crap! It’s after 10PM! I have to get back to Pengville!” The Really Ominous Frozen Lake The snowfall of the previous night had ended, and a dense fog had covered Pengville. Early in the morning the landlord of GC’s apartment had discovered his body when the landlord went to collect the monthly rent. Outraged at the loss of GC, the citizens of Pengville wanted someone to pay. They all traveled down to the Really Ominous Frozen Lake to decide on who would take the blame for GC’s death. “Oh great, now the lake’s going to be really ominous with this thick fog,” muttered unreality, as he made the trek to the lake. Everyone gathered around in a circle to discuss, the traditional burning at the stake was sure to follow. The fog made it difficult for people to see each other, though they were all well aware that there were baddies hiding among them. They only had to figure out who was who, which unfortunately was hard for some. Then the question was posed: Who should we kill off first? “TwoaDay!” shouted Brandonb. “Brandonb!” shouted TwoaDay. “Aha! Baddie!” retorted Brandonb. “It’s Cherry Lane! Or maybe unreality!” said the dazed TwoaDay. People were accusing left and right. It was the first day, after all. “We’ve got to think this one through, guys,” mentioned unreality, “we have to get a baddie today.” They argued through the afternoon, and into the evening. It had come down to two people: Brandonb and rene83. After much deliberation, the mob settled on rene83, and tied her to the stake. “You can’t do this!” she yelled, “I’m only a noob, I don’t deserve to end like this! It’s not fair, I’m only a mafioso!” Too late, the ice was already starting to melt from the heat of the fire. As the fire raged above, torching rene83 to a crisp, the ice got thinner and thinner, and finally broke. The mafioso plunged into the icy depths, extinguishing the flames, but freezing them solid. She were still visible above the ice, frozen beneath the surface of the Really Ominous Frozen Lake. “How ominous,” someone said, but no one was sure who because of the fog. As the citizens walked back to town, some thought that they heard the Grim Reaper laughing in the distance, preparing for a kill, or the Mafia planning their next attack. It would be a rough night, hopefully the innocents could make it through. Congrats, you guys got a mafia on the first day! |
Night 2 |
---|
The tattered remains of tomorrow’s newspaper drifted lazily in the wind. As the issue of The Onion blew past, one could see the headline:
“Massive Meteor Hits Pengville, 3 Dead, 2 Injured, Many Annoyed” Then it flew off, to wherever the wind took it. What had become of Pengville in the night? OH $#!T! The storm clouds were looming over Pengville. The small town was about to experience a dark night. The mafioso grumbled to him/herself. “How did they figure out that rene83 was a Mafioso?” he/she thought to him/herself. “Oh well, I’ll just have to make the most of it.” The solitary Mafioso walked up to Itachi’s house, twirling a knife in his/her hands. As he/she arrived at the door, a gust of wind blew the door open. “Hel-hello?” the Mafioso said shakily, staring into the dark house. He/she walked inside, the door slamming behind him/her. He/she climbed up the creaky steps, to the top floor of the creepy building. At the top of the stairs, he/she noticed the figure in the bed, right next to a large window. He/she lunged at the figure, drawing the knife, only to be grabbed from behind by Itachi. “It’s good to see you again,” said Itachi, “I’ve been waiting for you.” Across Town The QA snuck up the pathway leading to Yoruichi-san’s house. “Hopefully another QA will meet up with me here,” they thought. As he/she crept along, a glint of light in the grass caught the QA’s eye. Picking it up, the QA recognized the official seal of Quarky. “Another QA was here, but it doesn’t look like they stayed for long,” the QA mumbled. “Just great.” Meanwhile, another QA approached TwoaDay’s house, hoping the same thing. Without another QA, he/she had no chance of taking out TwoaDay. As everyone else did, the QA thought TwoaDay was the Bomb, and didn’t want to risk an attack against the Bomb without help. The disappointed QA headed home, “maybe another night,” he/she thought.
“You think you can kill me?” questioned Itachi. “Not a chance.” The two people struggled to overpower the other, in an epic fight to the death. Itachi managed to knock the knife away from the mafioso, who jumped up. They both started to circle each the other, the knife out of reach. They threw punches left and right, but unfortunately for the mafioso, Itachi was slightly better at hand-to-hand combat. He charged him/her, causing the two to crash through the window. They fought as they fell through the air, smashing into a car below when they landed.
The QA climbed the spiral staircase of the foyer, approaching the master bedroom. As he/she walked down the corridor leading to it, he/she thought she heard a deep, raspy voice say “At last,” from the bedroom. The QA opened the door and slipped into the room. Standing by the giant bed was a dark cloaked figure, preparing to strike with a large scythe. “Hey! This is my kill!” the QA whispered, only to be knocked out by a quickly opened closet door. From behind the door jumped Youruichi-san, straight towards the Grim Reaper. Surprising the GR, she knocked him/her down, making him/her release his/her scythe. After the initial shock, the GR regained his/her composure, and grasped Yoruichi-san by the throat. The GR held her in the air, picking up his/her scythe, ready for the final strike. Outside, the Healer approached the house, wondering whether their abilities would be necessary tonight.
“Why so serious?” Itachi said, laughing. Snowpeak The Shaman, dressed in white, was exhausted from the hike up Snowpeak mountain. He/she thankfully hadn’t encountered any Yetis, maybe they were home making soup. “So it must be,” the Shaman muttered, raising his/her arms forcefully.
Both Itachi and the mafioso got up, staring at the waves of light above. But something was out of place. One of the lights was brighter than the others, and it was growing bigger every second. Then they realized. A meteor was headed for Pengville. Everyone ran off to their homes to hunker down, the GR, the mafioso, the QA, and all others outside at the time. As the meteor got closer, it became a large fireball streaking through the sky. The Shaman stared up at the meteor, which was approaching fast, and would hit Pengville within minutes. “Not tonight,” he/she said. The Shaman summoned all of his/her power, circling the meteor in light. It started to shake, and then it rumbled, and quickly exploded into millions of tiny bits, which burned up in the atmosphere. “Everyone is safe now,” said the Shaman, who headed back down to the small town of Pengville. So the Shaman had saved everyone for a night, but could they survive tomorrow? |
Day 2 |
---|
A tiny snowball blew across the empty, snow-covered street of Pengville, increasing in size as it rolled. Where was everyone? It was day, so there was supposed to be a lynching. Right?
Sacrificial Snowboarding Atop the great mountain of Snowpeak, where just hours ago the Shaman had saved the entire town, the people gathered. They realized that no one had died last night, but they knew one of the baddies, and they weren’t going to just sit around and do nothing. “She has to be a baddie!” determined TwoaDay. “We have to kill her!” yelled unreality. Puzzlegirl, who they had previously determined to be lying about being innocent, was tied to a snowboard, which was teetering on the edge of the peak of Snowpeak. She was oddly relaxed, even for the certain death which was sure to come. “But you can’t kill me,” puzzlegirl said cooly, “I’m a masked lover. Kill me, and one of you goes down with me.” “Yeah right, she’s bluffing,” figured unreality. “Let’s discuss this more guys, the ninja can take care of PG tonight to be safe,” dawh pointed out, “anyone else we can kill off?“ There was no need to discuss. Puzzlegirl was the final decision of the mob of Pengvillians, even before the day had started. “Time to shove off,” said unreality, preparing to push puzzlegirl off the steep cliff. The crowd looked around nervously, wondering who was the other masked lover, and if they would go off the cliff after PG. But they didn’t have to worry. Unreality had been right, she wasn’t a masked lover. As unreality shoved PG off the cliff, she screamed “Quarky shall prevail again!!!” But she got her revenge at that moment. One of the ropes was caught around Nayana’s leg. As the snowboard went down, Nayana fell with it, leading to the same fate as PG. This was terrible news for the innocents, she was a key innocent, the Doctor. The snowboard shot down the ice, swerving and spinning with the dizzy QA on top of it. It hit a snowbank, rocketing high into the sky, over the forest of trees below. She crashed through the trees and the underbrush, flying down the mountain at an even faster rate. If she wasn’t dead already, the Yetis far below would capture her and make soup in their mansions. City in the Sky “He said what?!?” exclaimed the shocked Frost. The messenger mumbled something in Frost’s ear, then handed him his morning newspaper. “Damn, why does unreality have to be so determined?” Frost pondered. Frost walked over to the glass case next to the door. He opened it and inside at the object inside. Frost reached in and pulled out the artifact. The great Penguin Pistol© glinted in the sunlight streaming through the window. “Well, what unreality wants, unreality gets,” muttered Frost as he loaded the weapon. He walked out to the balcony, looking down at the town of Pengville below, with Snowpeak just off to the left. Frost glanced over at the towering mountain, trying to pinpoint his target. He quickly AIMed, and after unreality made his last response, Frost aimed the gun and fired in the direction of the peak. After a few minutes of waiting and some finger tapping, unreality floated up into the heavens from the peak below. “What took you so long?” said Frost, glancing up from his newspaper. “Those annoying North Winds, they slowed me down,” answered unreality. “Well, now that you’re dead, you can relax.” commented Frost. “Yeah, it got crazy down there. I was just trying to help as Spy,” unreality responded. “And look where it got you,” said Frost, laughing. After a pause, unreality asked, “so who has what role?”. “Let me start from the beginning…” The two of them walked inside the great mansion, probably going to watch a good movie. Later they might check in far below to see what had occurred in the town of Pengville during the night. |
Night 3 |
---|
"Man, I'm tired," mumbled Frost, who had just gotten back from a weeklong trip at 2:30 in the morning. "I need some sleep. I'll check in on Pengville in the afternoon when I wake up."
After a restful sleep, Frost woke up almost 12 hours later to an impatient Pengville. "I'm coming, I'm coming," he muttered, and walked over to his computer. "Well, this is a weird night," he said, after checking the night's actions. "Oh well, we have to move on. Now what to write…" He starts to type on is computer, then takes a sip of coffee, and continues. Letters appeared on the bright screen in front of him: It was night again, and an oddly peaceful one at that. "Ooh, that's not bad. I'll start with that," thought Frost. "Now what?" Writers Block in Pengville It was night again, and an oddly peaceful one at that. The streets were empty, the town was silent. The stars sparkled in the night sky; the crescent moon cast a dull glow on Pengville. The light wind caused the trees to wave slightly under the moon. Their shadows reached in through the large windows and held on to the walls of the corridor, shaking slightly. They danced across the dim hallway, twirling around with the other shadows. But something was out of place. Something had moved in the long room, and it wasn't a shadow. It did, however, blend right in with them. The Ninja stalked down the corridor, glancing in each of the rooms. "Where is that Itachi?" thought the Ninja. He/she had waited long enough for this moment. "If only this was mafia VI," he/she thought, "then I could have struck yesterday night as well, instead of waiting until the third night." The Ninja had reached the end of the hall; he/she approached the door in front of him/her. He/she creaked open the door of the bedroom, peering inside. The ninja slipped silently through the doorway, into the pitch black room. Using his/her awesome ninja abilities, the Ninja could sense the bed in the corner. He/she quickly pulled out his/her shurikens, and hurled one at the mattress. It hit the bed with a quiet "pfoof." From under the covers came a muffled "I've been expecting you." Curious, the ninja slid over to the bed to look at his/her kill. Again from the covers: "I've been expecting you." The Ninja lifted up the covers, only to find a tape recorder hidden underneath. The shuriken, which had landed right on the pillow, was where Itachi's head should have been. "What?!? No Itachi? Where is he?" "I've been expecting you," came the voice again. "Oh shut up!" the Ninja declared, throwing the other shuriken at the tape recorder. The Ninja, angered, stalked out of the room. "Where is it?" muttered the annoyed QA, "I know I dropped around here somewhere." The QA was looking for the badge that he/she dropped the night before when passing by Yoruichi-san's house. "Just great, now I'll have to apply for another one. My evening is officially ruined." He/she walked up to the massive house, and opened the door a crack. Someone was inside. "Is that Yoruichi-san?" thought the QA. He/she backed away from the door and went around to the side of the house for a better look. The QA approached a side window and peered inside. The person was gone. The Ninja climbed back down the stairs of Itachi’s house. "Where could he be?" he/she thought. "I've searched this entire house." The Ninja walked into the kitchen, and noticed that the refrigerator door was slightly ajar, casting a thin beam of light across the room. "Was that open when I came in?" the Ninja thought. "Oh well, I could use a drink anyway." As he/she approached the fridge, Itachi burst forth from inside, and flung a leftover taco right into the Ninja's eyes. "Aaaah! The spiciness! It burns!" screamed the Ninja. Itachi took the chance while he still had it. He tackled the Ninja, the two of them sprawled onto the floor. Itachi was quick to get up and start throwing punches, but the Ninja had recovered. He/she kicked Itachi, toppling him backwards onto the floor. The Ninja back flipped onto the dining room table, preparing to attack Itachi. "That was uncalled for," said Itachi, getting up. He dusted himself off, and then picked up a butcher's knife from the kitchen counter. He proceeded to throw the knife at the Ninja, along with the various other knives in the knife holder. The Ninja dodged out of the way of them, finally jumping up and grabbing the chandelier above the kitchen table. Itachi grabbed one last knife, and hurled it with all his might. It flew off, but didn't hit the Ninja. Instead, it went right for the wire holding up the chandelier. The cord is cut, and the Ninja smashed through the table, still holding the chandelier. The Ninja, after the temporary shock of the landing, heaved the chandelier at Itachi, who quickly dived out of the way. The chandelier shattered on the ground where Itachi was only moments ago. The Ninja looked around, still a little dazed from the fall. The chandelier was strewn about in pieces, and Itachi was nowhere to be found. Suddenly, the QA was lifted up by the collar and turned around in the air. "What do you want?" boomed the Defender, holding on to the squirming QA. "Uhhh...umm..." the QA mumbled, "I...I...I'm here to see Yoruichi-san." "Well she's not here right now," The giant Defender replied, "can I take a message?" "Oh, just that I uhh...wanted to...umm...kill her. You know." "Well good luck with that while I'm around buddy," said the Defender. The Defender grasped the QA with both hands and carried him/her off. He/she then chucked the QA over the fence around Yoruichi-san's house. "And stay out!" the Defender yelled. The disgruntled QA stalked off, upset about the wasted kill. "Surprise!" Itachi yelled, grabbing the Ninja from behind and chocking him/her with his arm. "Let's see you get out of this one!" he said, dragging the Ninja across the room. The Ninja, struggling under the strength of Itachi, grabbed at the arm wrapped around his/her neck. One of his/her arms went out, searching for something, anything that he/she could use as a weapon. After a few seconds of blind panic, his/her hand settled on something. The wooden knife holder that Itachi had been holding, it had been knocked over onto the floor. He/she picked it up, smashing it into Itachi's skull. He screamed in agony, blood gushing from his forehead. Itachi grabbed a towel and wrapped it around his head to stop the blood. "I'll get you for that," he muttered. He pulled out a gun and pointed it at the Ninja. The Ninja, gasping for breath, got up and leaned on the counter. He/she noticed Itachi with the gun, and backed off. The two circled each other, preparing to strike. "It's time to end this," cried the Ninja, drawing forth the pair of katanas hidden on his/her back. The two stared face to face, and after a second, Itachi fired. "Great, just great. What a time to have writer's block," thought Frost. "Just when it was getting to the good part." "Hmmm...what to write next...Hey! Can I get another pot of coffee in here?" Frost called out. "Back to writing the story." The bullet shot out from the gun. The Ninja stared at it as it approached, but didn’t even flinch.
Itachi looked up from the smoking pistol, to see the Ninja holding up his/her katana in front of him/herself. The Ninja crouched down and picked up the bullet from the ground, and threw it back at Itachi, who caught it, amazed. He fired again, and again, but the Ninja continued to deflect the bullets. He fires one last time, but the Ninja rushes him and knocks the pistol out of his hand. However, the bullet managed to scrape against the Ninja's arm, and he/she dropped one of the swords. Itachi quickly grabbed it, now they both had a sword. It was a duel to the death. The Ninja spun the katana skillfully in his/her hand, Itachi waving his around in the air. He swept in with a horizontal slice, but the Ninja jumped back. The Ninja brought the katana down on Itachi, but he dodged off to the side. The two swung, stabbed, and sliced with their swords. They parried about, twirling and spinning the blades to attack and block one another. Finally, the Ninja prepared for a final attack. He/she jumped up, towards Itachi, coming down on top of him. Itachi lifted up his blade, ready to strike the Ninja as he/she fell. But the Ninja expected this. He/she grabbed Itachi’s blade between his/her feet. The Ninja flipped in the air, pulling Itachi's blade up in the air as he/she spun. He/she let go of the katana, and it went flying through the window of Itachi’s house. The Ninja landed directly behind the surprised Itachi, and quickly spun around, slicing him with his/her sword. The Ninja had done it. He/she had killed Itachi, after a long and strenuous fight. "Phew, that took a while," thought Frost, exhausted. "Hopefully the Pengvillians won't be too upset about the wait, it was a long story." |
Day 3 |

The Pit
Thick sheets of ice covered the streets of Pengville. The snow that had fallen a few days earlier was frozen over, leaving Pengville a dangerous place. But the people were determined to lynch someone. They trekked out on the slippery ice, some of them slipping and falling, to gather in the center of town. A little while ago the Penguin had been sledding around the hills near Snowpeak, enjoying the iciness. He/she had just slid into town on a toboggan, joining the mass of people that had gathered. Once again, the discussion started as to who to lynch. Somehow they had managed to lynch baddies so far, but could they do it for a third time in a row? Arguments were thrown back and forth, but it ended up with everyone (well, almost everyone) settling on Lost in Space. "To the Pit!" someone yelled. "But I just got here!" LIS called out Everyone headed off for the Pit, dragging LIS behind them. The Pit was an ancient well that had been around since the founding of Pengville. It was incredibly deep, and was full of ice-cold water. The mob pulled LIS up to the edge, and held him facedown, looking into the dark water below. Tolecnal came out of a nearby shack, dragging a ball and chain behind her. The weight on the end was incredible, and it left a long ditch in the ice where it dragged over. Someone clasped the lock over LIS’s foot, and pulled the heavy weight over to the edge of the Pit. They shoved it in, the pile of chain quickly diminishing into the watery depths. "Any last words?" someone questioned. "Yeah. Good luck you pathetic innocents. You can never win," LIS uttered. "For I am the–" but he was cut off. The chain had been pulled into the water, bringing LIS along with it. That was the last the ever saw of him. "Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!" yelled out Dusty. "Why, Frost, why?" she cried, collapsing to her knees by the Pit. "Don't look at me," came a voice from above. Dusty glanced around at all of the other people's faces. "I'm sorry," she mumbled, crawling over to the shack. She broke off the largest icicle, and jabbed it into her heart, killing herself instantly. The Defender collapsed on the ground, and everyone crowded around shocked. "She wasn't kidding about being a masked lover," someone blurted out, "Too bad she had to be the Defender." "Yeah, but who was LIS?" said Yoruichi-san curiously. "I guess only Frost knows," replied Brandonb.
"Yes?" "This is him." "Wait." "Repeat that again." "Really?" "Wow." "Thank you. Goodbye." Frost hung up the phone. "Wow," he repeated. "What is it, Host God Frost?" asked the waiter. "They killed off all of the Mafia, the last one went today," Frost replied. "It's a shame that the Defender went with him." Frost got up from the dinner table, and left the room. "I can't believe it. Only a few baddies left," Frost thought to himself. "This may be over sooner than I thought," he mumbled, walking down the corridor to the library. "I guess we'll just have to see," said Frost, as he closed the door of the library behind him. |
Night 4 |

One Hell of a Night
Bored of waiting for the bus, Sinistral looked down at the crumpled newspaper he was holding. The headline read: Defender Dies in Horrible Suicide During Lynching of Suspected Mafioso “Oh great,” he muttered; “Now the Ninja will really need some protection tonight.” It had gotten late, and Sinistral was getting tired of waiting for the bus. He had somewhere to get to, and he needed to get there fast. A dark figure appeared in a nearby alley. It snuck up from behind the bus station and stood right behind Sinistral. “Hello,” it called out. Sinistral turned around. “Oh, hey,” he said calmly. Yoruichi-san walked around and sat down next to Sinistral. “Waiting for the bus, huh?” Yoruichi-san commented. “Lonely?” “Yeah,” Sinistral replied, “it’s already 20 minutes late.” Yoruichi-san was about to say something, but at that moment, the headlights of the bus rounded the corner. “Well, I have to be going,” Sinistral said, “nice talking to you.” The bus pulled up to the curb, right in front of Sinistral. As the doors of the bus opened, he asked the bus driver “Does this bus go to the southern end of town?” The Grim Reaper swiveled its head around. “Not for you!” it yelled, bringing down its scythe. The bus pulled away, the figure of Yoruichi-san vanishing into the night. Later that Night
“What can I do?” she wondered, “I won’t be able to strike as ninja until tomorrow night, and the GR is probably coming after me tonight!” She paced around the kitchen, stopping occasionally, and then starting up again. After a few minutes of pacing, she opened up the fridge and had a drink of water.
Someone had broken into the upstairs bedroom through a window! Yoruichi-san just had a terrible realization: She was weaponless. “My favorite katana! It’s by my bed! How will I ever get to it now?” she thought, panicking. Footsteps could be heard walking down the upstairs corridor. They were approaching the stairs. Yoruichi-san looked around for a makeshift weapon, the only thing she had on her was a shuriken, and that wouldn’t be enough to stop the Grim Reaper. The footsteps were coming down the stairs now, coming closer and closer. Hurriedly, Yoruichi-san ducked behind the large couch in the living room, just as the person came down the stairs into the room. “Hello again Yoruichi,” the figure said. “Without your precious Defender around, I can finally finish you off.” “I know you’re in here,” the person called out. The person had started to walk around the room. Yoruichi-san peered around the side of the couch. That was no Grim Reaper! It was a QA! “Quite a nice blade you got here,” the QA said, speaking in no particular direction, “I found it by your bed.” “My katana!” whispered Yoruichi-san. “Aha!” the QA yelled, “There you are!” He/she pointed the blade right at Yoruichi-san’s face, prepared to finish the job. “I am really not in the mood,” Yoruichi-san said, jumping up. She hurled the shuriken at the QA, and then knocked the katana out of his/her hands. The QA dodged out of the way, but wasn’t fast enough. The shuriken sliced at one of his/her arms, creating a deep wound. He/she roared in pain and charged directly for Yoruichi-san. He/she hit her head-on, toppling her over. The impact knocked Yoruichi-san out cold. When she woke up, the QA was towering over her. “Any final words?” the QA asked triumphantly. “You can’t win,” the Ninja replied, “The innocents will stop you.” “My death is merely a sacrifice that must be made for the success of the inn–” Yoruichi-san was cut off as her favorite katana was rammed into her heart by the QA. The QA stood up, excited for finally making a kill. Then it came.
There was someone at the door. The QA shuffled over to the door and looked through the peephole, but couldn’t see anyone. “Who is it?” the QA called out. “Uhh...it’s Cherry Lane, I came to check in on Yoruichi-san and see how she was doing,” the person replied. The QA opened the door a crack, and poked his/her head out. “Umm...She’s not here right now,” he/she said. “Well, I have something important to give her, can I come in?” Cherry Lane asked, holding up a box she had been carrying. “This really isn’t a good time right now,” the QA responded. Suddenly, a frigid winter wind blew in, and Cherry Lane looked up into the night sky. That was when she noticed the broken window. “I’m coming in there whether you like it or not.” Cherry Lane shoved open the door, pushing the QA away from it. She walked into the house, immediately noticing the blood spattered on the QA’s clothes. “What happened here?” Cherry Lane asked, turning around. Then she saw Yoruichi-san. The box dropped to the floor, landing on the QA’s foot, who bounced away on his/her other. Cherry Lane approached Yoruichi-san, muttering, “No, no, this can’t be. How could you do this?” “I WAS SUPPOSED TO KILL HER!” Cherry Lane yelled, whirling around towards the QA. “Do you know how happy I was when the Defender died yesterday? Do you? Huh?” Advancing on the QA, Cherry Lane continued, “I did not have the luck of the previous Grim Reaper. He didn’t even have to worry about the Defender getting in his way.” “But I thought I had it. I could have won this game, easy. Then a pesky little QA like you had to come along and screw everything up!” The QA was now cowering in the corner, with Cherry Lane still coming closer. “Well I’ve had it! I’m tired of this cold little town! With the Ninja dead, there’s no reason for me to stay here any longer! I’m off for bigger and better things in the city of Denbrain! I here there’s another Ninja there. Hopefully I can defeat that one,” Cherry Lane said, kicking the QA hard in the ribs. The Grim Reaper flew out of Yoruichi-san’s house with a loud swoosh, the QA thankful that it had not killed him/her. The QA looked over at Yoruichi-san, then left the house and headed for home. |

The End
“But I’m telling you guys I’m the Healer!” Mekal blubbered out. “Not a chance. I know who the Healer is, and it’s not you,” Brandonb retorted. “Oh come on, don’t believe Frozen! He’s probably the last QA, or maybe tolecnal is!” Mekal said, panicked. “Nope, sorry, but Slick is the Healer,” replied Brandonb, “I’m the Janitor, I spied on him a few days ago. You’re the last QA, and your mission is to lynch tolecnal.” “Alright, fine! You got me! I killed Yoruichi-san last night. I am the last QA! The last baddie!” “Not for long,” said Brandonb. “Oh yeah? We’ll just see about that,” yelled out Mekal. He ran over and grabbed tolecnal by the neck, and holding a knife to her throat. “If I go, I’m taking her with me,” Mekal said. “Calm down Mekal,” dawh said quietly. “No need to kill her.” “But then I win!” screamed the crazed Mekal. “Hehehe…you can’t stop me, the QA’s have won!”
Mekal fell dead onto the ground, the blade falling out of his hands. Brandonb looked up from the smoking Penguin Pistol©, shocked. “Nice shot BB,” said pw0nzd, staring at the slumped body of Mekal on the ground. “Wait, how’d you get that? Isn’t that Frost’s?” “He let me borrow it for a little while,” Brandonb responded. “So Mekal was a QA, but who were the other two?” asked TwoaDay, “I know PG was one.” “GC,” replied Frozen, the Inspector, “I got his name on the second day, confirming him as a QA.” “And rene83 was a Mafioso, obviously,” he continued, “As was LIS.” “Too bad Dusty went with him,” said crazypainter. “I guess the other mafia had to be Itachi,” said tolecnal, getting up, “That was very crafty having dnae attack him, banking on the Aurora.” “I almost wish I hadn’t used it,” said the Shaman, dawh, “And I never got to use Scry.” “It wasn’t necessary,” commented Slick, “We won in the end.” “What was with that whole argument about unreality?” said TwoaDay, “Just because he was Spy. Oh well, it won’t happen again.” “So who’s left?” questioned Brandonb, “I’m the Janitor, pw0nzd is the Icon…” “I’m the Penguin!” called out crazypainter. “TwoaDay was obviously the Bomb, and Frozen the Inspector.” “Yes, and I was the Inuit,” said tolecnal, “Unfortunately I couldn’t manage to pick a single QA.” “Terrible how Youruichi-san didn’t live to see the end,” said Brandonb, “Though we managed without her Ninja skills.” “At least Cherry Lane didn’t get to her,” replied dawh. “And the incident with Nayana. Tragic,” Slick mentioned, “She could have helped a lot as Doctor.” Some of the crowd had started to walk off. “Wait. Who was Sinistral?” asked pw0nzd. “The Illusionist,” Brandonb noted, calling back, “I had him figured out a while ago.” The crowd dispersed, people headed for home. All of the baddies had been killed, so they had nothing left to do but go back to their normal lives. THE INNOCENTS ARE VICTORIOUS! |

sigh
Frost lied back in bed. It had only been 4 days, but it had felt like weeks. The ordeal was over. The innocents had won. "I knew they could do it," said Frost. He thought back to the day when it had all started. The hot coffee. The comical banter between himself and unreality. The wild but spotless leopard. That fateful message from Zero. It seemed like so long ago, and yet it took place only very recently. Frost got up from bed and opened the blinds. Sunlight streamed in through the window. Off in the distance Frost could see Zero flying around Snowpeak. A few Yetis had climbed up the mountain and were racing down it on snowboards. Below, the innocents that had managed to survive discussed what had happened, and celebrated their success. It had started snowing there, but it was a happy time, and the people were enjoying the snow. Peace had returned to Pengville. Frost walked out on the balcony of his home in the sky. He needed a break from the work of a host god. It had taken a lot out of him, especially writing the epic posts. Unreality walked up from nearby. "Dude, I have a great respect for you now," mentioned Frost, "this hosting is harder than it looks. You make it look so easy." "Well, you did a good job for your first time," replied unreality. There was a pause. After a little while, Frost said "Dude, I'm done for now. You can take back over as host god." "You sure?" asked unreality. "Yeah, I think I'll go visit Denbrain, see what's happening there." Frost walked back inside to grab something. He came back out with his trusty Penguin Pistol©, which he pocketed. "Just got this back from BB," he said. "Pengville will survive without me for a while." Frost jumped down from the balcony, and headed off towards the clouds overhead Denbrain. "Wait," unreality cut in, "Are you done forever?" "Don't worry," Frost called out, "I'll be back, eventually." "But for now I'll be where the action is!" And Frost shot off into the sky, towards the glimmering lights of the populous city of Denbrain. Trailing behind him was his trusty penguin, Zero. Unreality stood there, watching the pair fly off in the sky. "I wonder how they'll do in Mafia VI," thought unreality, heading off to start his plans for Denbrain. You all played a great game! Nice job! |
