Gintama Mafia was a game designed and hosted by Yuiop based on Gin Tama a Japanese Manga (literal translation Silver Soul) aka Gintama

It was co-hosted by ShadowAngel

It began on February 1, 2015 and ended in a Goodie win in D3 (February 7).

Game Mechanics

Rules

1. OOP trap>block>redirect
2. Night posts show traps, kills, and successful saves.
3. Day posts show that a vote manip was used if it affected the outcome.
4. Day 1 ties result in no lynch. After that, ties result in a random player in the tie being lynched.
5. Indy wincon doesn't end the game, goodie or baddie win does end the game. Indy can joint win with goodie or baddie if his/her targets are dead by the time goodies or baddies win.
6. Kills are not blocking.
7. Redirected spy receives correct results
8. Trap prevents target from: acting or being acted on, voting or being voted for during the next day, posting during the next day phase.
9. Blocks and redirects don't affect vote manips.
10. If a redirect targets a redirect it fails.
11. If both redirects target the same player both redirects fail.
12. RID kill can be redirected. RID kill will succeed if it's redirected to the correct target. (Indie RID kills A as B's role, Indie is redirected to B, B dies)
13. Indie is always told if their RID was correct regardless of whether their action succeeded or not.
14. No is told if they were blocked or redirected.

Role Description

Goodies:

• wincon: eliminate the baddies

1. Gintoki - A samurai with a natural silver perm that is working as an odd jobber. A heavy gambler and drinker but he's a very strong fighter and cares a lot about his friends. Every night he chooses someone to protect. (save)
2. Kagura - She may look human but she's actually a member of a super strong alien clan. Every night she uses her strength to knock someone out. (block)
3. Shinpachi - The straight, ordinary man. He often faces an identity crisis with his glasses, but at least he's not dumb. Every night he can send a one way message to someone. (messenger)
4. Kondo - Captain of the Shinsengumi police force. Every night he stalks spies someone (role spy)
5. Hijikata - Vice captain of the Shinsengumi. He directs the Shinsengumi when his captain is busy stalking spying on people.(redirect)
6. Sogo - Captain of the 1st division of the Shinsengumi. He shoots things with his bazooka until they die. (kill)
7. Katsura - Leader of a rebel/terrorist group. His friend Elizabeth is always willing to vote with him so he can double someone's vote. (vote manip - x0, x1, or x2)

Baddies:

• wincon: gain majority
• BTSC and group kill carried by one person. Group kill can be blocked or redirected.

1. Kamui - Kagura's older brother and a sadistic killer. When he knocks someone out they stay out for the night and the next day but he can't target same player twice in a row. (trap)
2. Takasugi - Gintoki's past friend now enemy. He's also kind of a sadistic killer but he's also cunning. (redirect)
3. Harusame Space Pirates - A large organization of space pirates! They can use their massive numbers and resources to give someone an extra vote and manipulate the lynch results once. (vote manip - x0, x1, or x2, lynch frame x1)

Indy:

• wincon: outlive 2 specific goodies and 1 specific baddie

1. Isaburo - The elite elitist of the elite police force. He's out to eliminate some troublesome non elites. (RID kill, secret abilities )

Primary Wincon: Outive Kondo(spy), Sogo (kill) and Kamui(trap). Must RID kill at least one of them. Secondary Wincon: Survive to the end.

Every night gets a choice of RID kill or role copy. Role copy can't target the same player twice in a row. ODTG can choose to become invulnerable during the night

Prologue

My Attempt at Writing... Hey! You're awake! Wait, Wha-!? Oof. Gerroff Me! Who are you? You don't remember us?! It's me, your favorite narrator of all time! Hmm, he must've hit his head harder than we thought. It appears our protagonist has lost his memory. Lost his memory!!! Oh no! What should we do? Perhaps it would help if we recounted some of his past adventures. After all, we are narrators. Narration is what we do best! Good idea! We should tell him about that time with the swords and the explosions and the things going boom and - ...What in the world are you talking about??? Perhaps we should start from the beginning. This is a tale of violence and strife, but also of courage and bravery. Of lives lost and victories won. And of the hero who rose up to destroy all who opposed him. The man known as -- Blah, blah, blah, dramatic opening, etc, etc. Let's get to the good stuff! It was N1 of the first mafia game hosted by yuiop. All the players sent in their actions on time. :yes: And the result was... yuiop: Stay tuned to find out on the next post of... Gintama mafia!

Night 1

It was a cold, windy night. Kamui was walking around town searching for prey. As he was walking around he came across Vommack and Slick. Kamui: These guys look strong. This should be fun. And then he was like "Imma kill you guys!" and Vommack was like "Would you like a whopper? " and Slick was like " " Kamui drew his umbrella and attacked with the strength of a member of the feared Yato clan. Vommack and Slick fought back valiantly, but alas - Kamui totally pwned them! The might burger king Vommack was slain. Kamui: Slick saw Vommack go down and was like As the legendary foodie ran for his life - He fell down a hole. Slick: *glares at obnoxious orange narrator. Sadly, Slick would be stuck down there for the rest of the night and the next day, but fortunately, he would live to fight another day. And thus, the first night of Gintama mafia ended with the defeat of the burger king Vommack. Who will die next? Who will emerge victorious? Stay tuned to find out on the next post of, Gintama Mafia! Day 1

Tensions had been high after the body of Vommack had been discovered. As everyone searched for someone to blame attention shifted towards Squizer Everyone was like "You killed the burger king! " and Squizer was like " " Squizer valiantly tried to reason with the mob but the mob would not be satisfied until their blood-lust was sated" And then the angry mob was like " " and Squizer was like And thus ended the life of... Squizer - lynched as the Harusame Space Pirates

Night 2

Kamui was out prowling the city once again. This time, he came across Wizardry and Pardona. Wizardry was talkin' up a storm so Kamui jumped out and was like " ". Alas, the mighty Wizardry's wizardry ) was not enough to save him from Kamui's attack. The fearsome fighter Kamui laughed maniacally () and turned to face Pardona. Having heard what happened to Vommack earlier and seeing Kamui in action for himself- Pardona was like "I'm outta here!" and took off. And then Kamui was all like "Get back here!" and they ended up running around the city all night. Lol. When morning came Kamui finally got bored and left. Pardona was safe for the time being ; however, - He was so wiped out from all that runnin' around, he ended up sleeping through the entire day! Um, yeah. I iz braindead. (See what school does to ya! Day 2

After the tragic demise of Wizardry everyone became even more determined to hunt down the culprits responsible. Today everyone's attention's turned toward Segul. Having seen the fate of Squizer, Segul knew there was no point attempting to reason with the mob, so he drew his umbrella- And was like " " and the mob was like " " and there were explosions and blood and guts and it was totally awesome! Segul fought valiantly but alas, he was overwhelmed by the mob. Segul was torn to shreds. As the dust cleared the mob watched as Segul's body slowly came into view revealing him to be... Segul - lynched as Kamui

Night 3

Tonight Takasugi was out hunting. Barc was unfortunate enough to cross his path... And then Takasugi was all like " " and Barc was like "You can't kill me. I'm invicible. and then they were like Takasugi and Barc dueled throughout the night in an epic battle. Barc fought bravely but he grew weary. As Barc's strokes slowed as he tired Takasugi laughed maniacally and ran his sword through Barc's chest. As the sun rose over the battle field the invincible Barc finally fell. Takasugi kills Barcallica

Day 3

It had been a long, hard fight but finally, the epic battle was drawing to a close. Dd was all like "Saab is a baddie!" and Saab was all like " " and everyone else was like " Nope, you can't trick us! ". Saab persevered and continued to argue but alas, the evidence against him was too overwhelming. Drawing his sword,Takasugi charged into battle. And then it was all like " " and there were explosions and it was teh awesomes! Saab fought with the ferocity and skills of the legendary warrior he was. His attack was so ferocious that at first, it appeared that he would prevail despite the odds against him. But alas, even the legendary Takasugi could not stand indefinitely against the vengeful mob. Takasugi was overwhelmed and defeated. As the final baddie breathed his last breath the goodies stood triumphantly, safe from the evils of the villains who sought to destroy them. And then the goodies were like " " And that brings us to the end of Gintama Mafia! Thanks for playing everyone. Dr.Saab - Lynched as Takasugi
