It began on October 9, 2008 and ended in a Goodie win in D4 (October 14, 2008).
- The Day: It lasts 24 hours exactly, every time, like always. During the day, everyone votes for someone to inject with the nullifier virus. The injection consists of the original strain of the Shanti Virus which Dr. Suresh Bio-engineered to nullify the abilities of anyone for 24 hours. When administering the virus, the blood of the injected will be analyzed and their ability will be revealed. However, if the same person is injected twice, then the strain mutates and kills the person.
- The Night: It will be 18 hours like usual, and I must have all PMs in by that time. I have school, so the night post will probably not be posted at the same time, but most likely within 24 hours. This is when most actions are performed, specifically the killing ones
The Company – A secret organization that has BTSC. Every night they can kill someone. They win if they are the only ones alive. HRG must be the one to PM me the kill, though it is not necessarily his decision. If he is dead, then it is decided among the remaining company members.
- Linderman – Each night may save one player (preferably a company member) however he may NOT save himself.
- Candice – Any night but not two in a row, she may alter the reality of any person and if a night role, their target is randomly redirected. That person will be notified that their target was redirected.
- HRG – Is the member of the Company that has the final say in who is killed each night. He is outed when he dies. He cannot be saved by Linderman.
- The Haitian – Any night but not two in a row, selects one player that will lose their role ability for that night or following day.
- Sylar (aka Gabriel Gray) – He’s the ultimate baddie. If you’ve seen the show, you know what I mean. Every night, he has the capability to kill someone. After killing them he gains their ability for the rest of the game(without any restrictions on that ability), though he doesn’t find out what the ability is until he can use it. Along with killing someone and taking their ability, Sylar can also use one of the abilities that he has gained so far, but only one each night. Also, Sylar can kill Ted, but only if he uses both of his abilities at the same time on him (Sylar must use two kill abilities or his main kill ability plus Sylar saves himself with his extra ability to successfully kill Ted). He wins if he kills Claire. If Claire dies before Sylar can get to her, then he must be the last one standing to win the game
The Heroes (win by killing all the villains - Company and Sylar)
- Peter Petrelli – Peter is the ultimate hero, however he is still not completely aware of his ability. Whenever anyone gets close to him he mimics their ability. Each night, anyone that uses their ability on Peter will have their own ability used against them also. Peter also gets to visit one person each night, and uses that person's ability against them. If Peter is visited by 3 or more people on the same night he will blow up and take everyone else that visited him with him. If he visits Hiro, he won’t be able to kill him. Any interaction with Peter (his or someone else’s) will cause both people to be referred to by their roles in the night post.
- Nathan Petrelli – He can save someone each night by flying them to safety. He can’t save the same person two nights in a row.
- Claire Bennet – May save one person any night but not two nights in a row. She is invincible to everyone as long as HRG is alive. Claire cannot save herself, ever.
- Hiro Nakamura – Every night he goes one night into the future (the following night) and kills one person of his choosing. That person is pronounced as Hiro's future target in the night post, though they are still alive until the following night and may defend themselves. OR Hiro may (every night except the first night) choose to cancel his kill choice from the previous night. Hiro's victims may not be protected by any saving role, and if Hiro dies after making his choice, the kill will still occur. Peter is immune to Hiro’s attack, so if Hiro attacks Peter, then it is revealed that Hiro attacked Peter but not which person he attacked, and neither dies.
- Matt Parkman – chooses one person each day to read their mind and find their role. The target will be notified that they were discovered and may send one message to Matt. He cannot be protected two nights in a row.
- Isaac Mendez – Each day he paints a picture showing the events of the night before and learns the roles of the people that died.
- Molly Walker – Any day, Molly can seek a HERO role of her choosing, and learns the identity of the player with that role.
- DL – Has BTSC with Niki. Any night he can save one person, as long as Niki isn’t killing someone. If Niki dies, then DL gets restricted to use his ability any night but not two in a row.
- Niki – Has BTSC with DL. Any night she can kill one person, as long as DL isn’t saving someone. If DL dies, then Niki gets restricted to use her ability any night but not two in a row.
- Ted – With his radioactive powers, he can kill someone any night but not two in a row. However, due to his radioactivity, no one can come close to him, making it impossible for them to kill him. However, Ted was previously injected with a strain of the virus, and if he is injected again, he will die.

- Prince_Marth85 - Molly
- Sinistral - Parkman
- Itachi - Peter
- Prof. Templeton - Nathan
- Impervious - Hiro
- Yoruichi-san - Ted

Day and Night Posts
|"Where does it come from? This quest…this need to solve life's mysteries with the simplest of questions can never be answered. Why are we here? What is the soul? Why do we dream? Perhaps we might be better off not looking at all. Not delving, not yearning. But that's not human nature. Not the human heart. That is not why we are here."
"Using my father's research, I tracked down many different people with various and amazing abilities. Levitation, teleportation, tissue regeneration. These abilities are no longer outside the realm of possibility of human evolution."
"I gathered many of these special people together so that we could learn the cause of all these seemingly spontaneous and rapid evolutionary mutations. All of these people seem very kind, and just as interested to learn about their abilities as I am."
"Then, just as I was starting to make progress in my lab… some other people came. They seemed just as interested in my research as I was, and they were willing to steal my research using any means necessary. There were four of them, they came into my lab and caught me by surprise. They injected me with some type of shot; however it didn't seem to do anything to me. A man in horn rimmed glasses kept a gun pointed at me; while I watched the other three rip apart my lab. They were searching for the flash drive I had hidden in my aquarium that contained all of my father's research. 'Nobody stands in the way of the company' said the man wearing the glasses. 'You can help us do this the easy way, or we can just find them ourselves."
"Once I was able to see straight, I got up and began to analyze the remnants in the shot they had injected me with. I was able to reconstruct it, and came to learn that it could actually take away abilities! But then I had no idea why I couldn't remember anything, and since the serum couldn't have had any effect on me... but those people didn't know that. Once I learned how to duplicate the substance that the company had injected into me, I decided that this would now give me the chance to take my revenge. I finally had the ability to take vengeance against the man that killed my father. In addition to that, I now had something that I could use against those people that attacked me in my lab."
"Quickly, the news spread among the kind people that had volunteered for my study that I now possessed something that could take away the abilities of those people with powers. Before I knew it there were 15 people at my door; many more than I had originally been studying. Some saying that they had found the man that had killed my father, others saying that they knew who had attacked my lab. I knew that the bad guys were hiding among these people, but I couldn't tell who was who. I can't remember anything from the night that my lab was attacked. All I know is that I don't know what's going on anymore."
"In this group there is an unimaginable amount of power... teamed up against someone, this group would be impossible to stop. I cannot be judge, jury, and executioner. I told them that if they choose someone in the group, I will inject them with the serum, and analyze a blood sample to determine the ability that person possesses. This seemed to be the best way... no, the only way to find those people that had destroyed my lab, and Sylar... the man that killed my father."
Yoruichi-san headed down the dark and empty street. She knew she was out too late, but she had had a lot on her mind lately. She was excited at the prospect of a serum that could take away someone’s abilities. However she had been worried about these people, the company, that were kidnapping people, never to be seen again. “Oh well, I’m sure I can manage,” she mumbled to herself. There was a chill in the air as she turned the corner into a damp alley, pulling her hood over her head. “I better hurry home,” she thought, “it’s getting cold.” Y-san kept walking, but at a brisker pace than before. She could have sworn someone was following her.
When she finally arrived at her apartment, she released a sigh of relief. She walked into the apartment and plopped down on the couch. “It’s good to be home,” she said out loud. “Yes it is,” whispered a voice from behind the couch. Before she could turn around to see who it was, Y-san slammed into the wall across the room.
“I’ve been waiting for you,” hissed Sylar. He got up from behind the couch and approached Yoruichi, who was pinned and struggling against the far wall. “You have a power…don’t you?” He walked up to Y-san, his eyes crawling all over her head. “I must see how that works…” Sylar lifted up his index finger level with Y-san’s forehead.
“GYAAAAAAAH!” Yoruichi-san screamed as Sylar cut through her skull. All of a sudden, Y-san’s hands started to glow. They started emitting immense radiation and heat. Sylar jumped back, surprised, already feeling the painful effects of the radiation. The radiation only grew stronger as Y-san grew angrier. Sylar couldn’t bear the power, he had to get out, and he started to crawl away. Yoruichi went after him, but he scurried away towards a large window. Sylar glanced back, and then quickly leaped out of the apartment building. Y-san leaned out the window, looking down at him. Sylar lay crumpled, unconscious, in the alley below. “I wouldn’t try that again if I were you,” she sneered. “You just aren’t powerful enough.”
Sitting and grasping Takezo Kensei's sword, Hiro finally came to a decision. He stood up and looked to his left… “Did you finally come to a decision?” asked his bright-eyed best friend Ando. “Yes, and now I must go.” Hiro said with a blank stare. “Wait, first tell me who…. Ehhh” Ando’s voice trailed off, no need to look silly talking to himself, Hiro had already teleported into the future.
Brandonb got up from his evening movie to open the front door. “Who could it be at this late hour?” he wondered to himself. He approached the door and said “who is it?” He looked through the peephole, only to see an empty porch. Curious, he opened the door and stepped out into the cool night. Then a hand descended over him. That was the last thing he remembered.
Yoruichi had finally calmed down after the ordeal with Sylar. Thankfully she hadn’t blown up the place in the process, and her hands had stopped glowing. She was about to sit down and relax with a movie when someone knocked on her door. “What is it this time?” she wondered. “Hopefully it’s not Sylar asking for a rematch.” She smiled to herself as she opened the door, only to have a gun pointed to her head. “Not again…”
“It is pretty amazing to be able to go anywhere, anytime” Hiro thought to himself as he stood in the middle of GC’s living room. It was very late, exactly as planned… nothing but black night filled the windows next to him. Hiro looked over at the green digital numbers illuminated on the DVD player’s clock; it was blinking 12:00 as if it had not ever been set. Then, in the darkness Hiro noticed a light coming from the kitchen. Hiro squeezed his eyes tightly shut and shuddered momentarily as he concentrated as hard as he could.
Then he opened his eyes… and noticed the clock, it had stopped blinking. “Perfect” he thought to himself. “Now let us see what is going on in the kitchen.” Despite the darkness of the house, only illuminated slightly by the green grow from the clock, Hiro’s freshly unsheathed sword reflected a brilliant emerald color, as if it itself was able to magnify the light in the room. Hiro made his way through the house towards the light of the kitchen. He turned the corner and saw his mark. GC was standing in front his counter, his back to the refrigerator with the door swung wide open, pouring a late night glass of orange juice. He was using the light from the fridge to illuminate the room while he satisfied his thirst. Hiro was amazed at his own ability… he admired the glistening orange color pouring from the container, completely still in the air, as if it were frozen solid. Then looking at GC the same way… solid. “Hiro snap out of it, you are here to do your duty” he said to himself. “However, it is not honorable of me to kill a defenseless man” Hiro began to talk himself out of his decision. But then remembered what he and Ando had discussed. “If you go and make your attack one night in the future, then you can always just go and stop yourself from acting on it tomorrow night!” Ando had reasoned with him, and they decided that it was the best course of action. “Well, I guess I am not really killing him. I am just… killing him… I cannot reason otherwise. But I may come back and prevent it tomorrow night if I feel that I have wrongfully attacked this man.” And with that, Hiro firmly gripped his sword with both hands, and made one hardly-expert slice across GC’s neck. If the blade weren’t so sharp, his amateur technique would have surely required a second stroke, afterall he was new to the sword wielding thing. “This could be the best part about this time freezing ability” he thought to himself. “I don’t have to see any blood spilled, and my sword doesn’t even stain.” Hiro sheathed his sword and bowed to GC. “I truly hope that you are not a hero, and if you are, I pray that you will be able to convince me tomorrow so that I may save you.” Hiro stood up straight, and vanished. Not daring to imagine that would never be able to forgive himself if he had seen the mess he left behind.... Or is it ahead?”
Yoruichi stared at the person holding the gun to her head. “So you’re HRG…” she mumbled. “I guess that means you’re here to kill me.”“The company doesn’t think keeping you alive is in our best interest,” he responded. “If only you knew...” Y-san snickered. She quickly grabbed the gun, her hands shining with radioactivity. The gun melted to a puddle that splattered all over the carpet. HRG glanced down at the pool of liquid gun on the floor and back up at Yoruichi, whose hands were still burning. “Your face is next,” said Yoruichi. HRG quickly turned and left, though not without getting in the last word. “The company shall return, and we’ll be prepared next time!”
Just outside, Sylar was still down in the alley below Y-san’s apartment. He had regained consciousness, but he was still dizzy from the fall, and he had a bad headache. Luckily for him he had landed on some garbage bags that broke his fall somewhat. He rolled off of the pile and struggled to his feet. He staggered along the alley, leaning against the building for support. When he finally got to the street, he looked around to see where he was. Suddenly someone shouted “hey Slick!” Sylar turned to see who it was, only to be tackled from the side.
Peter got up and dusted himself off. Gasping, Sylar struggled to get up, but Peter kicked him back down to the ground. “I thought I’d find you here, Slick,” Peter said smugly. “You won’t be harming anymore people,” he said, “though you never did get to harm anyone yet. Oh well, not my problem.” Peter bent down over the weak Sylar, and stretched out his finger. “It’s time for you to pay.” Sylar’s screams echoed through the night:
|The First Subject
The door clattered open. Mohinder Suresh looked up to see everyone from before (except one, he couldn’t remember who exactly) already in his lab. “Well, it’s good to see you all so eager to participate and help me stop those that have caused us all harm. Though one of you is missing, what happened?” He turned his back to the group to set up his equipment. Someone in the small crowd piped up, “Sylar, Dr. Suresh! Peter killed him last night!” Mohinder whirled around and exclaimed “Really? Well that’s great news! Now we just have the company to take care of.” Have you guys picked a first subject? Everyone nodded together, except for Itachi, who just rolled his eyes. “Might as well get this over with,” he said, sitting down in the lab chair.
Mohinder prepared Itachi for the nullifier virus shot. “Don’t worry, it shouldn’t hurt much, and it will be over quickly,” Mohinder said quietly. “First I need a blood sample to analyze it,” Mohinder said. He took a blood sample then placed it aside on a slide. “Now for the fun part.” Mohinder reached over and picked up the syringe. He squirted out a little bit, and then inserted it into Itachi’s arm. After the entire virus was injected, Mohinder removed it and asked “you ok?”
“Yeah, I’m fine,” Itachi replied. “Ah, good,” said Mohinder, “the serum worked perfectly. Now let’s take a look at that blood sample.” He picked up the slide and put it under a microscope. “Fascinating…truly fascinating…” “What does it tell you Doctor?” someone blurted out. “Well, it tells me what Itachi-san’s ability is. He has the ability of Empathic Mimicry. Essentially, he can duplicate the abilities of others around him.”
“Well, I told you guys this would prove I’m a hero. Now I have nothing better to do tonight, might as well just go home.”
“I must commend you on your brave act last night Itachi, it is well appreciated,” Mohinder said.
“Well you’re welcome,” Itachi replied, getting up. He left the lab, headed for home.
The others followed, nervous about the events to come. Mohinder was left alone in his lab, but he didn’t mind. He needed to further analyze this new information on Itachi’s ability.
|A Very Quiet Night
Hiro sat at his desk, tapping against it with his knuckles. Ando looked up over the cubicle. “That’s really starting to get annoying Hiro.” “Oh, sorry, I’ve just been thinking a lot lately.” Ando sat back down at his desk and started typing.
“Ando?” Ando’s head popped back over the wall separating their desks. “Yeah?” “Do you think I made the right decision killing GC like that?” “Well, remember you can always go and stop it.”
Hiro jumped up out of his chair. “You’re right!” he exclaimed. “I must stop it!” Hiro closed his eyes, and in a flash, he was gone.
Sinistral was tired. It had been a long day full of discussion, and he was worn out. He opened the door to his house and took off his jacket. The door was closing behind him as he headed up the stairs to his room. He turned on the light and collapsed onto his bed, exhausted. Just then, a foot wedged in the door, before it had time to fully close. Someone opened the door, and stepped into the house.
Hiro opened his eyes to total darkness. He couldn’t tell exactly where he was, though he was pretty sure that he had teleported into GC’s house. Hiro felt around for a light switch on the wall, but instead his hand came to rest on the doorknob in front of him. He turned it slowly and peered through the crack. Suddenly, a light came on in the hallway outside the door. Hiro could see GC come out of his bedroom, headed for the stairs leading down to the first floor. After GC had walked past, Hiro crept out into the hall and glanced back. Apparently he had teleported himself into the upstairs closet! Hiro turned back and stepped quietly down the stairs of GC’s house, hoping that they wouldn’t creak.
HRG pocketed the smoking gun as he left the house. “It’s done,” he said, closing his cell phone. Blood stained the upstairs window in the house behind him. HRG walked off into the night, happy about the first successful kill.
The light flickered in the corridor as Hiro lightly hopped off the stairs. He looked around, trying to ascertain his location. He heard the fridge opening to his left. “I have to hurry,” thought Hiro. He snuck past the kitchen door into the living room and hid behind the couch. The clock above him blinked 12:00, just as it had last time he had been in this room. Hiro turned his attention back to the kitchen. He could hear GC taking down a juice glass from the cupboard.
Suddenly, a man was standing right in front of him. Hiro glanced up to see what he had been waiting for: Hiro. Hiro stood up, directly behind Hiro. “Hiro,” Hiro said. Hiro turned around.
“What the…? What are you doing here?” gasped Hiro. “I’m here to stop you. This is actually the present for me. After much thought about it, I decided that killing GC was not the best of ideas, so I teleported here.”
“But won’t this mess up the space/time continuum?” past Hiro questioned. “Well, I’d rather not think about the logistics of that,” replied present Hiro. “Anyway, just don’t kill him, alright? Go back to your time and relax a bit.”
“Fine, well, it was good seeing you,” said Hiro. “Same to you Hiro,” Hiro replied. Past Hiro disappeared, back to his own time, while the present Hiro teleported home, and GC enjoyed a nice glass of orange juice.
|Last Minute Mayhem
A crowd had joined at Mohinder's lab. The crowd was swaying back and forth with accusations. People were pushing each other to the front of the group, "It's Impervious! Take him!" "No! It's Sweetness Kat! Inject her now! Hurry!" Then half of the crowd came to a decision… "The quiet guy! Get him!" Prince Marth looked up and retorted "You shouldn't choose me; I know who two of you are, if you catch my drift…" The crowd stood confused for a moment, and then a chant began to erupt "Get the other quiet guy! Professor Templeton must be a member of the company!" They pushed him to the front and threw him into the center of the lab onto the open concrete floor. Prof. Templeton got up, dusted himself off calmly, and sat down in the injection chair. Dr. Suresh took a cotton swab and cleaned a small area on PT's arm to prepare him for the needle. He picked up an empty needle and drew a small amount of PT's blood for analysis. Then Suresh picked up another shot and filled it with the neutralizing serum. He turned and swiftly jabbed the serum needle it into his patient's arm. Prof. Templeton inhaled deeply and signed defeatedly. "Please, don't take my wings…" he said, "Otherwise I won't be able to fly anyone to safety." Hearing this, the crowd burst out in another fit of confusion. Startled, Suresh hesitated pushing down on the needle's plunger. "Oh wait! Wait!" Shouts of resentment filled the lab. "We changed our minds! Send PuzzleGirl, there's no doubt that she is one of them." Joe's Student, Sweetness Kat, Itachi, Impervious… they all grabbed Puzzle girl and carried her into the room. She didn't kick, she didn't scream, she just went limp in their arms. "I accept my injection" she said. "Crap" said Mohinder, because the last thing he wanted to do was use the same needle twice. So after having to take a blood sample of PG, he snapped the needle off the end of the shot, and emptied its contents into another sterile syringe. Frustrated, he took an alcohol swab, wiped her arm, and jabbed it into her shoulder. PG cringed slightly as Mohinder injected the virus. After he was done, PG got up from the lab chair, and Mohinder set to analyzing her blood. “Well, it appears that PG has the ability of Illusion. I’m pretty sure one of the company members had that ability. Nice work deciding to inject her.”
|The End of the Line
Peter stepped down the stairs of the dark train station. The one overhanging light flickered as he took the last step with a light jump. He looked around. “Where was everyone?” he thought to himself. “Never mind, I have something of greater importance to worry about.” Peter walked down the platform, his eyes darting about for any signs of movement. As he approached the middle of the platform, a figure loomed into Peter’s view in front of him. “I wonder what ability I’ll get now,” he thought, grinning. The figure stood motionless as Peter came up behind him.
Brandonb was exhausted. After a lot of work, he had collapsed in the train car onto one of the seats to relax. In fact, he was so tired that he fell asleep. The train rode on through the dark tunnels, Brandonb unaware that he passed his stop ten minutes ago.
Niki looked up at the night sky. She was waiting. She had been waiting all night, for the past three nights, for something, anything to come her way. It had finally arrived. Crazypainter walked down the road under the dim glow of the street lights. Suddenly, a fist shot out and socked her right on the skull. CP crumpled, dead.
HRG whirled around and fired. Peter quickly dove out of the way. HRG fired again, and again. Peter dodged both times, but the second time he rolled off the platform onto the train tracks. HRG steps over to the edge of the platform and peers down at Peter, who was lying on his back, slightly stunned from the fall. He readies his gun, about to shoot, when off in the distance he notices the headlights of an oncoming train. HRG glances back down at Peter, and fires. But Peter was gone.
Brandonb woke up to the sound of the speaker chiming “end of the line, please exit the train.” He blinked his eyes and slowly got up from his chair. “Where am I?” he thought to himself. He struggled up, holding onto the side of the train. “End of the line,” the speakers repeated. “Yeah, yeah, I’m going,” BB mumbled. He got off the train, a little dazed. Out of nowhere, someone walks up to him. Brandonb stares at the Haitian, who returns the favor coldly. HRG steps out from behind a column. “It’s not like I could have stopped you guys anyway, what’s the point of the Haitian being here?” “Just precautions,” HRG replied. Then he fired. BB dropped to the ground, lifeless.
CP’s lifeless body lay shoved in a corner, alone, rejected. A person approached her. He glanced down at CP and waved his hand over her body. Her pale skin regained life, and her crushed skull rebuilt itself. CP got up and dusted herself off. “Thanks Linderman,” she said, and walked off.
The night air was cool and crisp as Slick hurried down the sidewalk. As he passed under a bridge, someone stepped out behind him. “Hello Slick,” Ted mumbled. There was a flash of light, and the charred remains of Slick fell to the ground. Ted walked off into the night, as the wind started to pick up.
“Ahhhh…oof!” Hiro landed facedown with a thud. “This time travelling thing is starting to get wear me out,” he thought. He got up and looked at the house he had arrived at. “The lights are off; it looks like no one’s home.” Hiro turned around and hurried over to a man that was out for an evening stroll. “Excuse me, but do you know where the person that lives there is?” Hiro asked him. “Well, I’m sorry to say that she died last night in a terrible crash,” the man replied. “What?” Hiro thought, “I wonder what happens…well, she’s not here, might as well return.” Hiro disappeared, leaving behind an astonished man, who thought that he had had too much to drink that night.
Kathleen glanced across the train at Candice, then back down at the smoking gun in her hands. PG looked around the cabin of the train. “If only Sylar hadn’t died so early…” thought Kat. The train pulled to a stop at the next station, and the Haitian boarded the train. “What took you so long CP?” HRG asked. “I had a few things to take care of…though I think they got to Slick.” “Linderman? Oh well, we don’t need him anymore.” The train started up again, with four more passengers then when it had stopped. Besides CP, DL had snuck onto the train with Niki and Micah, into one of the first few cabins. “Sweetness Kat, you guard the door. If they come after us, knock them out,” DL said. “Fine, but you keep an eye on Micah, GC,” she replied. DL and Micah headed up to the conductor’s room. “Alright Micah, you know what to do.” Micah placed his hand over the controls, a few lights flickered. The train started to speed up. “We need to get out of here, now,” he said. They rushed back to Niki, who was waiting for them by the door. “You guys ready?” she asked. “Yeah.” DL grabbed the two of them and phased through the door.
Kat looked up. “What’s going on?” she wondered. She got out of her chair and went up to the window to look out. The trees rushed past before she could see them, the train was accelerating rapidly. “Oh shi…”
The train shot off the edge of a cliff, plummeting towards the forest below. As it cascaded down, the faint but ever repeating voice from the speakers on the train muttered “end of the line…end of the line…end of the line…”
