Never Never Land was a game designed and hosted by Glycereine based on the fictional world of Neverland created by J. M. Barrie.
It began on June 17th, 2011 and ended in a Baddie - Indy win on N3 (June 23rd, 2011).
Game Mechanics
Rules
- Tie Lynch results in separate coinflips for all in the tie
- OOA: Block/RID Kill/Kill/Redirect/Save/Spy. The save obviously saves from the kill however it can be redirected, hence the order the way it is.
- RID Kills are blocking, kills are not
- RID kills attempted or successful are shown. RID guesses are not. Correct RID recruits are. Unneeded saves are not.
- Chain events would occur i.e. if A blocks B and B blocks C then both B and C appear as blocked
Role Description
Pirates: - BTSC – Pirates have an RID recruit guess for Jack, or can instead choose to spy. This can be carried out by any of the pirates. If Jack is spied using this ability, he cannot be recruited for 2 nights following. Must be in the majority to win.
- Captain Hook – Kill, cannot die at night while Smee is alive (except by croc)
- Mr. Smee – Loyal devotion to Captain Hook, he protects him at all times – Bodyguard, if hook dies, inherits kill.
- Pirate – A simple minded minion, he can prevent his target from acting each night – block. Block actions can prevent kills and RID kills unless the blocker is RID killed.
Lost Boys and Friends: Must eliminate the Pirates.
- Peter - RID guess on Rufio per night, additionally has a kill ability
- Wendy – Caring and compassionate, she can protect a target from Kills or RID kills each night – save
- Jack – His devotion to Peter is shaky at best, but he is aggressive whichever side he is on – RID kill
- Maggie – Unsuspected as very useful, Maggie is able to sneak into most areas and learn the identity of a person each night – spy
- Thud Butt – The largest of the lost boys, he can inherit Peter's kill if Peter is killed in the first two day/night cycles. Prior to that he can coerce others to vote with him, redirecting one vote per day – Vote redirect
- Tootles – Has been transported back to Never Never Land despite being very old. He can't remember much and has a terrible habit of misplacing his marbles – Block
- Pockets – Can recognize faces by touch but only if he knows what he's "looking" for - RID guess.
Indies:
- Rufio – Recruitable if Peter RID's him. If not he must eliminate Peter and Hook. – Redirect if recruited. Straight kills are not redirectable, but RID kills are (only if the new target is the guessed role). Has RID Kill Prior to recruitment but can only be used on Peter. He can instead choose to RID Guess anyone.
- TinkerBell – Eliminate Wendy, peter must survive. – Spy OR RID kill attempt on Wendy. Game continues if she reaches her wincon but she is removed from the game.
- Croc – Must kill Hook (if hook is lynched he can win by being last one standing). – RID Kill, unlynchable
Host's Summary
Game Idea and Expectations
Never Never Land has been disrupted. The anti-aging properties of the place have gone to extremes and time itself is out of sync. The ages of the children and adults are relatively inaccurate.
When a person first enters Never Never Land, their age is the same as it was in the outside world. They however never age in Never Never Land, even while gone. So when people return after having been in the world, they are suddenly the age they were when they were last in Never Never Land.
Wendy is alive and young despite the situation in the world around them. Due to the chronological absurdeties, old rivalries and new ones coexist.
Game
Interesting things:
- Night 1 Peter killed Rufio, the only potential recruit for goodies
- Night 1 Hook killed Wendy (Tinkerbell's wincon)
Araver had RID kill Yuli as Croc as his first action, and if everyone else's actions had been in on Friday, Croc would have won and the pirates would have been down a baddie and Yuli's leadership most likely resulting in a goodie win.
Baddies were ALMOST lynched on both days. Aura survived by coinflip only, Akriti seemed to be about to be lynched and when I checked back later there was a huge swing to nox (who I personally thought was safe).
Honestly I also thought Segul was safe as well...

Grats to Yuli for MVP for leadership (and some key changes to proposed actions) of the pirates
Host disappointments
I messed up twice. The first messup was not including Jack's action in the night post. That didn't appear to alter anything at all (no one made any accusations or assumptions about him at least publicly or in BTSC).
The second messup was having the wrong block target in the night post (baddies changed their block after I'd written the post). I fixed the results of the block on actions, but didn't fix the block post so it still read maurice, not LH. That one COULD have altered people's thoughts but the only person who ever mentioned either of those two was LH in a PM to me after the day had ended.

| Tootles meandered around the camp, wondering what had happened. He was 11 years old, but he was forgetting everything. He remembered leaving here once and knew that he'd returned. Aside from that he couldn't remember anything. In fact, what had happened to his marbles? He was looking for them when he saw someone in the distance. He walked toward them and saw maurice lying on his back. Tootles quickly picked up his marbles after making sure maurice was ok. He heard maurice moan and roll to his side as he left. He'd be fine but he was out for the night.
Tic... Toc... Tic... Toc... Croc swam swiftly just beneath the surface, the tip of his powerful snout breaking the top every so often to breath. Stealth was not on his side since he'd swallowed that clock, but he was still the most feared of the predators in Never Never Land. In fact his noisiness made some fear him even more. Any time he came near hearts were on edge waiting for the snap of his massive jaws. The sound came and went without any changes. Peter needed to show his power. He couldn't keep his thoughts to himself and too much was going on here. People he loved were in danger. He sat for a moment, leaning over on a stump and suddenly jerked himself upright. He flew from the stump to his dagger leaning against a tree and took off. He flew straight to the pirate ship the Jolly Roger looking for his target. He ran into them on the way and made no pretenses. He must make Never Never Land safe again. He threw his dagger while flying full speed ahead. A few seconds later he passed over the body, laying on the ground and pulled his weapon from EDM's back without slowing down, returning to camp feeling a renewed energy coursing through his veins. Hook was slightly concerned but too conceited to admit it. He figured he'd just eliminate the lost boys once and for all. Their newcomers could join them as well. He yelled out to his lackeys and they came running. They hopped into a row boat and he cocked his pistol, looking out through the mist. As they rowed through the caves he spotted Vineetrika and slowly squeezed the trigger... Ricochet... He aimed again and fired. Vineetrika ran among the rocks, panicking. After expending his entire supply of ammunition Hook had the boat rowed over to the rocks and inspected the body, noting that 1 bullet had managed to shatter upon impact with the rocks and the metallic splinters had severed s few nerves in Vine's spine. Embarrassed with the kill but happy it was done, the crew headed back to the Jolly Roger. Later host edit: Jack had a RID Kill attempt |

| The lost boys rounded up Segul and Auramyna and began questioning them as they blindfolded each. They tried to decide which one to get rid of but were having a hard time.
A bucket was tied to the ankles of each of the two and filled with sand. The intent was to eliminate one of them, but no one would make the decision. Finally maurice stepped up and poured half of the sand out of each bucket. That would be fair. As Segul and Auramyna were being carried they could feel the breeze get stronger and they suddenly both knew. Both bound and blindfolded they knew they were standing at the edge of the cliffs and one of them would be thrown over. So no boy would feel responsible, they grouped together with a long pole and jabbed it into Segul's side. He winced and hopped to the side. Into thin air. He plummeted feet first down the cliff into the water below. The bucket of sand carried him quickly to the bottom and bubbles stopped coming up. Another jab and Auramyna was forced off the cliff. As he plummeted down his bucket of sand hit a small outcropping and spilled over. He hit the water and sank deep. He began struggling and eventually freed his hands. Just as he thought all was lost his head broke the surface and he gasped for breathe. He finished removing his binds and clambered onto a rock. As the boys looked down below waiting to see if Segul would break the surface one of them bent down and picked up his walking stick... |

| As the Lost Boys mourned the death of pockets they reflected on what had happened. The sun set and they returned to their camp and set to work.
Araver went down in a hurry and lay unconscious next to the rock he'd been resting on. Pirate cursed to himself for taking orders from a man who refused to call him by his name. He had a very nice name and it needed to be used. He just couldn't quite remember what it was at the moment. As he pondered to himself how he could have forgotten his own name he hopped out of the row boat and headed inland looking for his mark. He saw Maurice ahead and decided to take care of business. He slowed his gait and crept around the thick foliage to get a clear view. He reached his arms through the brush and clasped a hand over his victim's mouth as he dragged him into the woods. When he had finished tying, Maurice was unable to move for the rest of the night. Jack was on the prowl again tonight. He would prove his worth to Peter. He was a powerful warrior! He crept through the tents looking for a traitor. He saw who he was looking for but immediately knew he was wrong. He watched for a moment but then retreated back to his own bed to think things over. Tinkerbell fluttered above a tent waiting for the light to go off. As the lantern was extinguished she flew down quietly, entering under a flap. She leaned against the hot lantern, pushing it to the edge of the table. As the lantern tipped over the hot embers rolled out onto the dry grass bedding. She flapped her wings to fan the flames and her target rolled over. Suddenly she realized she'd made a mistake and quickly beat the glowing grass down and made a hasty retreat back into the woods. Hook threw his pistol to the floor of the row boat. This thing had to be broken. How could so many shots miss so many times? He had fought too hard to let faulty mechanics ruin his plans. He drew his cutlass from its scabbard and walked up onto the rocks lining the cove. He walked along the rocks until he spotted what he was looking for. He laughed to himself about how easy this would be. He stood on the rock next to Araver looking down at him. Hook hopped down next to Araver noting a large welt on the middle of his forehead. He reached out his hook and snagged the corner of Araver's mouth lifting his head slightly. He arced his cutlass above his head and swung down hard. As he swung his feet slipped on a marble and he almost cut off the arm his hook was attached to. Flustered he looked around quickly to make sure no one had seen. He then inverted his sword and thrust it hard into Araver's body, watching his last breathe leave his mouth. He removed the blade and retreated back to the boat. |

| The Lost Boys gathered around Darth Nox and began the questioning. He made obscure comments and appeased no one. More joined in and began poking him with sticks as he backed toward the camp fire. Finally his fate was cemented and he was rushed. He tripped backwards and fell into the fire. His worn clothes burst into flames and he rushed into the forest screaming. As a few followed him they noticed the marbles he had left in his wake.
A wind picked up as the sun set, and his ashes were scattered. |

| Thud Butt looked around at the damage they'd done to themselves. He couldn't help but think the end was near. He sighed to himself and kicked an escaping ember back into the fire. He looked into the flames waiting for something to come to him...
Hook gathered his troops and they lowered the dingy into the water. The Jolly Roger would be vacant for the night. Smee took point blocking their leader with his portly body. As the Pirate rowed into the mist Hook scanned the shoreline with his monacle... Jack thought hard and decided he would strike at the enemy's heart and remove their leader from battle. As he decended from the rocky outcropping he realized he'd been wrong. Puzzled, he slipped back into the shadows to wait... Maggie sat at the fire and studied Thud Butt's actions, hoping to see something, hoping for hope. She knew who he was but wasn't sure that was enough. After watching him stare aimlessly into the fire for some time, she retreated to her tent to sleep for the night... Tinkerbell fluttered above the camp knowing this might be her last shot. She searched and searched for her target but couldn't find her. Finally something occured to her... Peter knew things were dire, and he intended to even the odds. He watched as the pirate crew beached their dingy and came up the beach toward the Lost Boys' camp. He pulled his dagger from his side and lunged at Smee. He flew through the air until his head colided with the broad side of the oar Pirate was weilding. They would leave him there alive, knowing his friends were dead. No need to kill this one... As the pirates descended on the camp, they spotted Jack and with a slight nod, he had joined their ranks. The four of them approached Thud Butt and tapped him on the shoulder. The large boy sighed and slowly turned around to find the muzzle of Hook's pistol less than an inch from his forhead. The cocking sound seemed to take forever as it echoed through the trees, but the loud bang lasted even longer. The noise seemed to reverberate for minutes before the boy's body slumped to the ground. Maggie was startled awake by the gunshot and clutched her blanket tighter, covering her head... Jack picked up a torch and ignited it in the fire. He then approached his sister's tent and lit the four corners, tossing the torch into the middle. He laughed maniacly as the dry linen and grass went up in flames. Eerily there were no screams from inside as the tent burned to the ground. Tinkerbell flew to the ground. With so few targets and none of them female she realized what had happened. She thanked Hook for eliminating her competition day one and pleaded with him to let Peter live. They came to an agreement and the fairy fluttered off to find him. The four villains sauntered back to their boat and began the row to the Jolly Roger. Baddies win (tinkerbell also, not full indie win) |
