Nightmare before Mafia: Director's Cut was a game designed and hosted by Araver based on Magic luver101's series (see Nightmare Before Mafia, Nightmare Before Mafia BD).

It began on December 25th, 2016 and ended in a Goodie & Indy win in D3 (December 31st, 2016).

Game Mechanics

Classic Mafia 5 vs 1 vs 1.

Rules

  • NP shows only deaths, saves and silenced players.
  • DP shows only lynched players, tie lynch = everyone in the tie is lynched
  • OOA: Block > Trap > Save, Spy. Blocked players will be blocked and told regardless if they had an action or not. Mayor can be blocked.

Role Description

Baddie: Wincon - last one standing

  • Oogie Boogie - Each night chooses a player to target and remove from the game. As it is performed by host action is unstoppable except via save. ODTG can RID remove a vote.

Goodies: Wincon - remove baddie and indy

  • Jack Skellington - This relentless hero is never happy with what others choose. Each night chooses a goodie to RID powerplay. If successful, target will be notified that he was blocked. Cannot powerplay already dead goodies.
  • Zero - Each night chooses one player and will find out either who targeted that player or who that player acted upon (choice). Cannot go into the graveyard to choose dead people.
  • Sally - Chooses one player each night to protect and absorbs any hit. Cannot choose the same person twice in a row. Cannot protect self.
  • Mayor - Choose between adding 1 vote to his or removing 1 vote from another person (other than self).
  • Sandy Claws - Each night, can reach into his bag and pull out a toy. Chooses one player the same night and gives them that toy. That toy will keep them occupied for the whole night. If he targets Barrel, his ID will be known to Barrel but kidnap will be stopped.

Indy: Wincon - outlive Oogie Boogie, Jack and Sally

  • Barrel - Kidnaps one player each night. That player is stuffed into a burlap bag and thrown into his tub. They are both silenced and role blocked but are not safe from a kill. ODTG (exactly once) can RID Kill, at any point during the day or night and will forfeit acting the next night.

Host's Summary

Thank you all for playing and enjoying this game. It was fun hosting again and tbh I forgot how it is when people don't wanna do what you think they'd do File:tongue.gif And thank you for wrapping this up before the New Year's Eve, so that I wouldn't have to host 2 at once.

D1: Maurice wanted to flash vote Aura which would have ended the Indy N2: BabyCee changed her NK from Aura to Maurice, again the Indy escaped.

N3: Boq is powerplaying SH as Sandy to act on Aura so no surprise here. Aura still has a ODTG rid kill till 1 minute before the end of the day to tie it.Both Boq and SH are trying to block aura which will expose Sandy's id to her. Claming up is pointless in this situation. She has Zero claimed and will get SH as Sandy as soon as night ends. Since game did not stop she has 50/50 on Boq's role any time during the day. Either Jack or Sally. On the other hand I love that I grafted some things like exposing block and they actually come into play.

D3: A Boq/Aura lynch qualifies as a tie win. I've already been asked twice. Indy wins if wincon is before dying or at the same time as dying. Can't retake my wording back. Aura wants to RID Boq as Sally. But she hasn't yet. Boq is enquiring publicly after knowing the answer privately. That is sneaky and a very nice touch. I am sincerely impressed by the number of posts, but I fail to see the endgame of those posts. Indy loses if he rids incorrectly or time passes and he hasn't rided and is lynched. So either take a 50/50 or the tie w/ possible flash. Ah nvm. If SH is Sandy and is lynched, indy can self trap and ensure the win. However if SH and Aura get lynched Indy loses. So unless Aura thinks she can lynch SH on her own ...

Is there an MVP? Idk. I've slept on it and I can't figure it out. It was a tie win 6 out of 7 players won. It's not like I mod-killed anyone. I think I am going to go with no MVP, but congrats to those who made the win possible.
