Quantum Leap Mafia was a game developed by Maurice based on the Quantum Leap TV Series. It was set in the fictional Seguin, Texas, around 1984, and contained canon elements from the TV Series. The main character (Sam) leaped each night into one of the people in Seguin and had to achieve a possible WinCon in order to be leaped back to present day. It was hosted by Maurice (as Al - game designer and main host), and Araver (as Ziggy - BTSC work on game mechanics and co-host).
It began on January 13th, 2011 and ended in a Goodie win in N4 (January 19th, 2011). Sadly, the main point of attraction, the secret Indy, was killed early, in N1.
Game Mechanics[]
Quantum Leap Mafia ran as a standard Mafia game with 9 Goodies (the Townspeople), 4 Baddies (El Jefe's crew) and 1 Indy (Sam) with a Secret Identity and Secret WinCon. Signups were via PM to protect the identity of the Indy, who did not appear on the roster. It also contained a Spy role who could be either Sane (spied factions correctly) or Insane (spied Baddies as Goodies and vice-versa).
Rules[]
- Lynch Rules: If a tie lynch results day 1 no lynch will take place. All other days a random player in the tie is lynched.
- Baddie Kill is a group kill that cannot be blocked/redirected unless there is only one surviving baddie in which case it is automatically assigned to that person. Exception is if Sam leaps into El Jefe. He will control (essentially redirect) Night Kill.
- Precedence of Actions: frame > lynch save > Save > RID Kill > kill > block > Nightkill (if on all baddies) > redirect > spy > give away vote > buy vote
Special Rules[]
Leaping - The Indy would leap each night into a different player and assume his identity and control of his night actions. The host is leaped into 2011 with the hosts, can still play but his actions will be overruled by Sam’s actions. Each night the host PMs Sam the role of the person (but not the name) they have leapt into and two WinCons for that night/day cycle (WinCon1 OR WinCon2). WinCon1 has a 75% chance that is the actual WinCon and WinCon2 has a 25% chance that is the actual WinCon. No action will be able to be taken on him directly. Since Sam's actions are through his host he can be killed, redirected, etc if host is targeted. If Sam's host is killed at night or is lynched then Sam dies and the host will be stuck in 2011 with maurice and araver (out of the game).
Role Description[]
Goodies: the Townspeople.
WinCon - Rid Seguin of all baddies
- Mayor: Has the ability to make any vote count as 0, 1, or 2
- Big Daddy (BD): Believes his money controls the town. Buys a vote each night. Target does not know that their vote has been bought. If Big Daddy tries to buy El Jefe's vote, then El Jefe buys his vote. Big Daddy will not know he has lost his vote, but El Jefe will know he has BD's vote.
- Sheriff: Learns the role of a target each night.
- Deputy: Finds out the faction of a target each night (Goodie or Baddie) I will randomly choose before the game starts whether the Deputy is crazy or normal. The deputy will not know this result.
- Doctor: Can save one person per night. Can save self only once. Can not save the same person two nights in a row.
- Hypnotist: Hypnotizes one player per night, blocking them.
- Hunter: Can kill once per night.
- Judge: Has RID kill. Can also choose to save a player from the lynch. Chooses that player at night. If that player is lynched, he will be spared but his role will be revealed. Can do this each night if chooses. Can save self. Cannot save the same person twice.
- Foolish Cabbie (FC): Usually does not get target to destination. 75% of time will result in redirect. 25% of time redirect will fail. Also knows that he is not the brightest bulb. Each night he agrees to give his vote to someone else. If no target is given then I will randomly choose who vote goes to. I will PM that person that they have an extra vote and they will PM me their extra vote. FC can still cast a vote. If target does not PM me a vote for FC then I will count FC's vote.
Baddies: El Jefe's crew. They have a night kill and BTSC.
WinCon - be in majority.
- El Jefe (EJ): the Boss. Cannot die at night if the Bodyguard is alive. Appears innocent while the Attorney is alive. If the Sheriff targets him while the Attorney is alive then the Sheriff will have a random Goodie role (besides Sheriff) returned. If the Deputy targets him while the Attorney is alive then the Deputy will have "Goodie" returned if Deputy is normal and "Baddie" returned if Deputy is crazy. Big Daddy can not buy his vote. If BD tries to buy EJ's vote then EJ will buy BD's vote. BD will not know that this happened but EJ will.
- Bodyguard: has blocking ability
- Attorney: has redirect ability
- The Framer: can learn the ability of a role each night. Also chooses a target each night. If that player is targeted by the Sheriff/Deputy that night, then the Sheriff/Deputy will be told that the player is a random Baddie/Baddie. (If Deputy is crazy then Deputy will be told target is Goodie)
Indy: WinCon - Choose the right target for your action on a given night.
WinCon is secret (and changes every night).
- Sam: a Quantum Leaper. Each night leaps into a different player and assumes his identity and control of his night actions. The host is leaped into 2011 with maurice and araver, can still play but his actions will be overruled by Sam’s actions. Each night the host PMs Sam the role of the person (but not the name) they have leapt into and the two WinCons for that night/day cycle.
Sam does not appear on roster. No action will be able to be taken on him directly. Since Sam's actions are through his host he can be killed, redirected, etc if host is targeted. If Sam's host is killed at night or is lynched then Sam dies and the host will be stuck in 2011 with maurice and araver (out of the game).
Indy Wincon: For each role that Sam can leap into, host will randomly choose 2 WinCons and PM them to Sam as WinCon1 OR WinCon2. WinCon1 has a 75% chance that is the actual WinCon and WinCon2 has a 25% chance that is the actual WinCon. Indy wins if they successfully perform the actual WinCon. If Indy wins then they will leap back into their body in 2011, host will be leaped back and game will continue without the Indy. If Indy was Judge or Mayor, the win is announced with the Day Post, in all other instances it will be announced with the Night Post.
Possible Indy WinCons |
---|
The WinCon will be of the form <Hosts action> <Role>. To win, the hosts action must be performed on the player that has the role that the actual WinCon indicates. For example, selecting the correct player but having action blocked will not result in a win. However, selecting the wrong player but being redirected onto the correct player will. The action will be performed whether the role is the correct player or not. Any results of actions will be given to the host.
Even though WinCon template may look like 1 WinCon will always target a Goodie Role and the other will always target a Baddie Role, this is not necessarily so. 2 out of 4 possible WinCons are selected so it is possible that both selected WinCons are Goodie (or Baddie). |
Host's Summary[]
Game Idea and Expectations
There was a lot of BTSC talk among the hosts before and during the game. The game featured a lot of clashing actions: e.g. buying and giving votes and the Indy leap ability. The Indy leaping ability was designed to spread chaos on goodie/baddie actions as the Indy powerplayed the host he leaped into each night.
Finally, the hosts chose to keep the Indy's identity secret and protect the Indy throughout the day, to maximize his chances of success. Some changes had to be made to the classic leap featured in the TV series in order to embed it in a Mafia Game.
Game
- Night 1 - Phaze claims in the thread that he is the Goodie kill in the game thread. Immediately, the baddies focus on spy-killing him and the Goodie spy also tries to spy him. Baddies try to block a fellow baddy with no action. The Indy is killed because of this, leaving Phaze trapped in 2011 with the hosts.
- Day 1 - Hirk and JarZe are tied both in the official roster and behind the scenes (despite a lot of vote manipulation going on). No one is lynched.
- Night 2 - The Hunter (Izzy) kills GMaster (unproven Baddie) in an attempt to frame a newbie as the goodie kill role. Social Darwin (Goodie save) attracts the attention of the Baddies and is killed. He could not save himself as he was blocked by Glycereine. The baddie spy is redirected by Framm. Vine's redirect fails, however the baddies don't realize it (despite the fact that it's not featured in the night-post). Due to incorrect reasoning, they assume Izzy is the Hunter (which is actually correct). Hirkala is fake-blocked by the baddies but is spied by the Sheriff. BigDaddy tries to buy ElJefe's vote resulting in an extra vote for the baddies in D2.
- Day 2 - Hirkala and JarZe are again massively voted, the Sheriff leading the lynch against Hirkala. Despite having an extra vote BTS, the baddies lose the lynch, mainly because JarZe is the Mayor and one of the Baddies (Segul) did not vote against JarZe. Hirkala is lynched due to Baddies inactivity towards the end of the day.
- Night 3 - Vine's flash vote puts her on the goodie killer's radar. The Baddies realize too late that they cannot in fact redirect the goodie kill away from them and Vine is killed. Instead of letting the NK targetting Izzy, Segul changes it to kill Slick, leaving the Hunter alive for further kills.
- Day 3 - Segul is lynched (no defense provided)
- Night 4 - The Hunter finishes off the remaining baddie (Firno).
Special commendations
- Golfjunkie for leading almost every lynch and using his spy information to ferret out the Baddies
- Izzy for killing two of the baddies, even though she started by friendly firing on GMaster479
- Framm18 for entrusting his vote only to Goodies and playing his blank vote role
Host disappointments
- The Indy got killed N1 due to a Phaze-suicide move. This killed the most exotic role in the game, leaving only two factions.
- The random draw placed two newbies in the Baddies team. As the other two more experienced baddies were killed early, this broke the balance, favoring a goodie win.
Alternate endings
Alternate ending 1: Possible Indy win in N1
- In the first night, the Indy (SH) leaped into the Deputy (Phaze), unaware who was the Deputy. Sam's WinCon for N1 was either WinCon1 - spy the Hypnotist or WinCon2 - spy the Hunter. Random.org had selected the actual WinCon to be spying the Hunter(Izzy). SparrowHawk submitted a spy Izzy action (which would have luckily won the game).
- After Phaze's comment in the thread "who should I kwill tonight", SparrowHawk changed his action ("I've never been able to follow Phaze's strategies (and they often blow up in his face), but I can't find a valid reason for him to claim Hunter (either truthfully or falsely), but I also can't ignore the possibility to complete my objective: Spy: Phaze"). Without Phaze's suicide claim in N1, the Baddies would not have killed him (and kill the Indy instead), and SparrowHawk's original action would have won him the game.
- Also, had we told the Indy that he leaped into Phaze's Role, he would have not changed his action (but that would still not have prevented the Baddies from killing Phaze).
- And another possibility, had we chosen to prevent the leaped host (in this case Phaze) from talking in the thread, the Indy would have won.
Alternate ending 2: Restoring the balance for the baddies
- If all the baddies had voted for JarZe in D2, they could have saved Hirkala.
- If the baddies understood that their redirect cannot act on the goodie kill because of precedence, they would have killed the Hunter in N3, prolonging the game.
- If any of the remaining baddies would have had more experience defending, they might have survived D3 lynch.

Day and Night Posts[]
Seguin, Tx 1984 Night (-1) |
---|
The Doctor suddenly put his fork down. He looked around, perplexed. Suddenly, his short term memory had failed him...and his long term memory wasn't doing so well either. At least it didn't seem to jive with what his eyes were telling him. "Where am I?" he thought to himself. "In fact...Who am I? And what was up with that flash?" He made his way to the bathroom mirror. Before he could make focus on his own face he noticed that a foggy, 2-D image was standing behind him. "Sam, stay calm but there's been a bit of a mishap." "Ok," The Doctor didn't know how else to react, so calm would have to do," Who are you and where did you come from" "Sam. I'm maurice, your best friend. Well actually I'm just a hologram," explained maurice. maurice went on to describe to Sam the Quantum Leap project and how it had gone "caca". Sam is a test pilot in 2011. Theorizing that one could time travel, Sam led an elite group of scientists into the desert to develop a top-secret project known as Quantum Leap. Pressured to prove his theories or lose funding, Sam prematurely stepped into the project accelerator, and vanished. Sam's entire body has traveled through time and the illusion of his host's physical aura surrounds him, making him look and sound like that person. The host is simultaneously transported to the time travel facility where Sam made his initial leap – effectively switching places. "Now araver has theorized," maurice continued. "Whoa!" stopped Sam. "Who is araver?" "Well araver is more of a what, explained maurice. "Uhh, it’s the artificial intelligence that runs the project and is attempting to deduce the why you've leapt here. araver is quite thorough you know and always correct. Well, sometimes not ... nevermind. araver thinks you're here to right a wrong. You're in Seguin, Texas and the year is 1984. In the next week or so this town is about to turn on itself. You may be here to help change that." "Change that!? How?!" "Yeah, ummm...not exactly sure. But you've leapt into the town's doctor. araver says there's a 75% probability you're here to save the Framer from being killed," continued maurice. "So I save this Framer and then..." "Well, if araver's theory is right, you'll return home." "Ok," Sam's concern was fading, "Let's go save this Framer." "Wait, Sam. It's not that easy. There's a 25% chance that you're here to save the Doctor and you can only save one. If the Doctor is targeted and dies tonight, then you'll die..." Across town El Jefe was having a McDLT with his Attorney and Bodyguard. "It's almost time for us to make our move in this town. I have a new video game coming in. It's called Q-Bert. It is going to outdo Pac-Man and Donkey Kong combined. By this time next week we will control all of the video games in Seguin. If any establishment wants to have a Burger Time or Space Invaders they will have to go through us. The Mayor and Big Daddy think they rule the roost, but that time has passed. We already have more money than Big Daddy and soon we'll have more power than even the Mayor." "Nobody has even a clue what we're up to", guaranteed the Attorney. "This will be quite the surprise. I'll let the Framer know what we expect of him..." The Sheriff and the Deputy met up at the jailhouse. "Guess who I staked out tonight," said the Sheriff as he threw a thick file on the Deputy's desk. "I got some big information tonight also," replied the Deputy. "Ya know, Deputy, sometimes your information is brilliant, but other times, well..." "I don't think you're going the right way, again". The passenger was only slightly disturbed. "Sorry, Hypnotist," said the Foolish Cabbie. "I'm not the best cabbie, but I'm all this town has. I've just always got something on my mind. Like this Prince guy on the radio. What is he the Prince of? Maybe you can hypnotize me into focusing better, and then I can get my directions straight"... The Hunter was riding back into town, a fresh kill on the hood of his pick-up. He leaned over to the Judge. "Sometimes, Judge, I just don't trust people. I don't think everyone's looking out for the best interests of this town. I just might go off and kill somebody. I hope, as my friend, you'd maybe be able to get me off." The Judge looked up from his Rubik’s Cube. "Hunter, I'd do whatever is in my power to help any of the town residents, if I thought they were acting in the interests of the town. Now, I hope you show some restraint. Don't get me wrong, I think I have it in myself to kill someone, but I've got to be absolutely sure of who they were"...
"araver says he was wrong, at least about tonight. Neither the Doctor nor the Framer die." http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/9711/post598012563907507287.gif "Well that's a reli"... A FLASH OF LIGHT Seguin, Tx 1984 Night (0) "Aw crud! Who am I now?!" exclaimed Sam looking around, "And why am I still in Seguin?!" |
Seguin, Tx 1984 Prologue |
---|
Sam was startled once again by his predicament. Once again his surroundings were familiar, and yet he had no knowledge of what had just transpired or where exactly he was. And how did he get here? "Sam, it appears we were wrong again", a familiar voice. Sam turned to find maurice. Well at least there's a familiar person, even if he did seem ghostlike. "Well, actually araver was wrong. I'm just the messenger." Ok. Things were starting to come into focus again. "Ok. So who am I now?" asked Sam, "and more importantly what must I change tonight?" "Well look around, Sam", answered maurice...

Seguin, Tx 1984 Night (1) |
---|
The Framer walked out of his meeting with El Jefe. He spotted a familiar face. “Hmm, I wonder what he’s up to,” he thought. The Framer got into his General Lee replica car. “I probably should have a more inconspicuous car for this job.” He tailed his target, quickly satisfied with his results. Which was good as he had another task. He pulled up to his next target’s vehicle and noticed the window was slightly rolled down. He already knew the baddies planned victim for the night and had a pair of that person’s parachute pants. He ripped them, soaked them in blood and threw them into the vehicle. “If those incompetent lawmen actually do their job right tonight, this will work like a charm.” The Doctor had a nervous feeling about tonight. The tension in the town had been growing thicker lately. Someone would need his help. He gathered his medical kit and loaded it into his Delorean. He pulled up to Social Darwin’s house. “If he needs me tonight, I’ll be close by,” he said aloud to no one in particular. He looked down at his calculator watch, “All night if need be”. All night it was. The Judge was walking out of the courthouse. He spotted a suspicious looking person walking ahead of him. “Well I’ll be. Is that…?” He rushed up to Glycerine, clutching an end of the headphone cord of his Walkman in each hand, sweat rushing down his face. He had never strangled a man before, but this would be justified. He neared his victim, raised his arms and then…he stopped. “This can’t be right,” he wondered. “When did he get a red leather Thriller jacket?” He turned Glycerine around by the shoulder, looked into his face. It was not who he thought he was. Very well. The Judge had more pressing duties. He just remembered that he needed to fill out some paperwork. Someone may need to be given immunity tomorrow. The Bodyguard drove by firno’s house in his Bigfoot monster truck, blocking the driveway. He got out and crossed his arms. “Yeah, I’m bigger than firno and my truck’s way bigger than that puny car. He’s not doing anything tonight.” The Foolish Cabbie finished up his shift. He walked into his apartment sleepy and ready for bed. But he needed to make a quick call first. There was going to be an important town meeting tomorrow and he may be asked to make a vote. Foolish as he was, the Cabbie still knew better than to wield that much power. No his friend would have his vote tomorrow. The Attorney had a last minute visit to make. He had leverage on Framm and intended to use it. Framm got a late night call and did what he was asked. EDIT: Big Daddy had a proposition for the person across the table. "I want control of your vote tomorrow," he explained. "Whatcha talking about, Willis?!?!" was his exasperated counterparts response. A huge wad of one-hundred dollar bills quickly changed the tone of the meeting. EDIT: The Sheriff had a hunch about somebody. He followed that person. He looked up records. He dug deep into his memory and his reasoning skills. They all pointed to the same conclusion. The sheriff was satisfied. Phaze lied in bed. He remembered something very important that he needed to do. He lunged up and saw a red and green sweatered man. “What the…?” The man took a swipe at Phaze with a razor blade adorned glove. “I’m your nightmare Phaze. But you will not wake from this dream!” When his work was done, Phaze lay in pools of blood. El Jefe rushed to the bedroom door. “Guys, get in here! This is weird! I swear it was Phaze that I killed” Sure enough the dead body was in Phaze’s bed, in Phaze’s house. He was in Phaze’s pajamas!! But it was not Phaze. El Jefe’s crew had never even seen sparrowhawk before… maurice walked up to Phaze. “I know I promised you, you’d return to 1984 soon. But I just got bad news. Sam is dead. We have no way of getting you back home now. I’m sorry” |
Seguin, Tx 1984 Day (1) |
---|
The townspeople of Seguin were confused by last night’s events and wondered about the whereabouts of Phaze. Who was responsible for what transpired last night? They gathered at the clock tower and looked at each other carefully. Finally Framm stepped forward. “Ok JarZe, let’s start with you!” Other townsfolk started moving towards JarZe. Suddenly a voice squealed “Hirkala!” “Hirkala, what?” asked another. “I don’t know. In fact none of us know. Let’s let the Mayor decide! We should not lynch an innocent person” Hirkala and JarZe held hands and closed their eyes. “We’re fine with that. The Mayor can decide our fate.” The Foolish Cabbie could not breathe. Had he given his vote to the correct person? In the back of the mob, a lone figure sat, listening to his just purchased boombox. He knew that the Mayor may not have the final say. The mayor made his decision, the votes would be tied. Nobody would be lynched. Just as the crowd became relieved, not to mention Hirkala and JarZe, two identical shouts: “Not so fast Mayor”. Big Daddy and his immediate neighbor stared at each other. They walked up to the Mayor. They whispered, they waved their hands, they pointed into the crowd, they flashed pieces of paper. Finally the Mayor stepped forward, “A Final decision has been made…the tie stands!! Nobody is lynched!! Big Daddy threw a hundred dollar bill in the air. “New Coke for everybody!!” Phaze was still trying to figure out what he would do in 2011. “Well these two chaps seem like fine gentlemen,” he thought. “Hey maurice, araver…Did I ever tell you about my neighbor, Ed?” |
Seguin, Tx 1984 Night (2) |
---|
The Framer had double duty again tonight. He was going to have to put off practicing his break-dancing for another night. He spotted his first target. He followed him into the arcade. He watched him play a few games of Pole Position. High Score!! His target put in his initials and The Framer took note. Easy enough. On his way out the door to his second target, he caught a glimpse of the news. He knew he was done for the night. He rushed home to his cardboard box. The Judge had a good feel about someone and a bad feel about someone else. He signed some papers and went out the door. Segul was waiting for the bus as the Judge left the courthouse. This was perfect. The Judge reached into his briefcase and pulled out his Simon game with the bomb in it. As he walked by Segul he handed him the game. “Here ya go, kid. I’ve gotten too good for this”. He continued on his way and pulled out his remote detonator. Just a few steps more and he’d be out of harm’s way. As he reached the corner of the block and turned the corner a Trans-Am came speeding by. The Judge took a look at the driver then looked back at Segul. He knew he was wrong again. GMaster looked into the mirror. His Flock of Seagulls haircut was totally bodacious. It only took two cans of Aqua-Net to pull it off this time. He was getting better at pulling it off. He slipped on his Member’s Only jacket and headed out for the night. The Hunter sat in his truck and watched GMaster walk down the street. He smiled approvingly of GMaster’s choice of hairstyles for that evening. He lit up a cigarette and slowly drove up to GMaster. The Hunter threw his cigarette at GMaster and drove off. In his rear-view mirror he could see GMaster’s head catch fire and the flames rise high into the air. GMaster tried in vain to put the flames out. He dropped to the floor but by this time rolling was not an option. GMaster was dead. The Bodyguard was in his Bigfoot monster truck again. He spotted Hirkala’s his car. “Let’s see what this thing can do to that station-wagon.” It didn’t take but one pass to leave Hirkala without a means of transportation for the evening. Segul aced the Simon game in no time and grew bored waiting for the bus. He spotted a cab and waved it down. “Where to?” asked the Cabbie. It did not matter. Segul would not get to his desired destination. The Sheriff had a suspicion. He waited for his target to leave his home. He snuck in the back door. He spotted his targets answering machine and noticed there were 15 messages. “Let’s listen to who we’ve been associating with here, why don’t we”. The Sheriff was satisfied with his results. The Foolish Cabbie waved goodbye to another confused passenger. He got out of his cab and walked into a phone booth. He made a call that he knew he needed to make. The voice on the other end agreed with the Foolish Cabbie’s idea. Big Daddy saw the person he’d been waiting for. They stepped into the alley. Money went one way, the promise of a vote the other. They shook hands. Big Daddy was pleased. El Jefe tilted his fedora and cracked his whip. “Yup, Indiana Jones is definitely me.” He hopped into the Bodyguard’s truck. As they drove by mailboxes he practiced knocking them over. When he was satisfied that he could manage his task expertly he instructed the Bodyguard to find their target. They quickly spotted Social Darwin jogging down the road. They drove up to him. El Jefe cracked his whip and Social Darwin’s neck. With a quick flip of his wrist, El Jefe snapped Social Darwin’s neck and the Bodyguard drove off. |
Seguin, Tx 1984 Day (2) |
---|
The townspeople of Seguin were beyond confused today. They were angered by last night’s events. Two more people are dead. Someone must be held accountable today. “Hirk never gave a defense yesterday!” Someone yelled. “I still want to hear from JarZe, too!” came another shout. “Very well,” declared the mayor. We’ll vote on those two. When the votes came in they were tied once again. “No ties today. A lynch must occur. And we will not be using the randomized Cabbage Patch Doll bombs today. I will wield my power to decide the vote, and I choose…” “Wait!!” came a shout. “You are not the only one with voting power. In fact, the current count may be wrong anyhow. I have purchased a vote.” He walked up to the mayor and pointed at his tally sheet. “That one right there. Change it.” “I must speak up as well,” yet another voice. “ I want to make sure my friend the Foolish Cabbie has voted correctly”. He walked up with the Foolish Cabbie and pointed to who the Foolish Cabbie’s vote should be counted on. “Very well!” declared the Mayor. “That clears things up nicely.” He walked up to Hirkala and JarZe. He reached into his duffel bag and pulled out his double dutch jump ropes. Tossing them to the crowd as he walked away he pointed to the person found guilty and yelled, “String up Hirkala!! And tow away that stupid monster truck when you’re done!!” |
Seguin, Tx 1984 Night (3) |
---|
The Framer was waiting for his target to leave for the night. He sneaked up to the bedroom window and slid it open. He climbed in and opened his target’s closet. He reached into the trash bag he was carrying and pulled out a bloodied razor-fingered glove and a whip. He placed the recently used murder weapons in the closet, where it could easily be found by someone looking for evidence. He rushed back out to his General Lee car and drove off. The Hunter put down his newspaper. It was clear by the news, the economy, the Movies, even the Olympics. Communists hated Americans. And the Hunter hated Communists right back. And based on recent events, Communists were in Seguin. He just knew it. He walked out of the café determined to kill him a “Commie bastard”. “There’s one of them Russkies, now”, he told himself. Vinetreeka happened to be walking by. The Hunter bopped her on the head, grabbed her and threw her into his truck. When Vinetreeka awoke, she was tied to a tree with antlers attached to her head. The Hunter aimed his rifle and commenced target practice. The Hypnotist walked out of the office with his patient. “Remember Segul, you will go home tonight and sit in front of the TV. You will do nothing else. When you hear the key phrase, all things will be back to normal and you will have no memory of this.” The Hypnotist was friendly with the program director of the local TV station. He was aware of the commercial rotations and had chosen the phrase accordingly. Sometime in the middle of the night, a little old lady came on the Segul’s TV. “Where’s the Beef?” she asked. With that Segul got up and went to bed. The Foolish Cabbie looked in the rear-view mirror. “Thanks for getting me to my destination”, said his passenger as he exited the vehicle. “How much do I owe you?” “I’m not going to charge you. Just do me a favor tomorrow,” replied the Foolish Cabbie. Then he smiled as he saw his next fare. El Jefe and his crew were out to make a point tonight. One of their own had been lynched yesterday and that required a strong statement on their part. Slick walked into his apartment to a surprise. In front of him stood El Jefe in a Cobra Kai gi. El Jefe leapt at Slick and kicked him in the quadriceps, followed by a karate chop to the throat. “Hahaha. Somebody get a bodybag!” squaled El Jefe. Slick got to his feet. “Time to sweep the leg”, with that Slick went down again. Slick valiantly got to his feet once more, hopping on his one half-way decent leg. He raised his arms in front of his body. “Sorry, Slick. I’m changing the ending to this movie”. El Jefe quickly got into the Crane pose, hopped up and kicked Slick in the nose, driving the cartiliege into his brain and Slick to the ground. “Huh? I guess you can’t kill someone that way. But this will do the trick.” El Jefe walked over to the semi-conscious Slick, struck him in the chest and yanked out his heart. |
Seguin, Tx 1984 Day (3) |
---|
The people of Seguin still were antsy about the actions of the previous few nights. The townsfolk were being killed two at a time. The sooner they got El Jefe's crew out of town the safer they would all be. "Segul, I accuse you of heinous crimes", came a call from the crowd. "What say you?" "I'm going to sleep. I don't have the same cycle as you guys,' he replied. The counts were taken. The Mayor did the math. The best Segul could hope for was a tie. He reached down behind the podium and pulled out his randomized Cabbage Patch Doll bombs. "Oh, so its a tie at least," said Segul. The Mayor tossed them at Segul. "Nope. I just got some new randomized Teddy Ruxpin bombs." Segul caught the bombs and when the left one blew up it sent a Cobra Kai headband into the crowd. Segul wouldn't be framing anybody tonight. |
Night (4) |
---|
maurice hurried over to araver. “What is it? What’s going on? Woah…95%? I think it’s worth it” Seguin, Tx The Sheriff was feeling confident. He would soon be able to rid the El Jefe and his crew from Seguin. All of the restaurants, grocery stores and arcades could put in whatever video games they chose. He just had one lingering question that he needed to resolve. He followed his target and watched his actions. He was satisfied. The Hypnotist snapped his fingers. firno closed his eyes. After the Hypnotist gave some directions he snapped his fingers again and firno awoke. He walked out of the office in a daze. The Hunter spotted him and followed him. As firno sat on a bench at the park, the Hunter grabbed his rifle. He looked through the scope at his prey, took a deep breath as he had the part of the brow between firno’s eyes dead square in his crosshairs and slowly he...put his rifle down. “No! That can’t be!” maurice stood over firno’s dead body. “That is how we kill in 2011, baby!” he exclaimed. “But next time, araver, you be the Green Hornet and I get to be Kato. That’s for Sam!” He kicked firno’s lifeless body. The Hunter drove Phaze to the jailhouse where the Mayor, the Sheriff, the Hypnotist and the Foolish Cabbie were waiting following the strangest phone call they had ever received. Once there Phaze explained to everyone, the best that he could, what had happened. He explained how he had “leapt” into 2011 and how we seemed to be stuck there. He explained how araver calculated the odds that the Hunter was going to kill firno and that he believed they could “leap” Phaze into El Jefe. maurice and araver needed to kill firno in 2011 before the Hunter killed firno in 1984. There was a 95% chance that helping maurice and araver avenge their friend's death would keep Phaze from leaping again. Once firno was dead, his aura no longer surrounded Phaze and he could appear as he truly was, the Deputy. He also explained that the last of El Jefe’s crew was dead and that Seguin was safe again. Game is over!! Goodies Win!!! |
